80% at 1 hour 30 mins. Following the pattern it would be 60% at 3 hours, 40% at 4 hours 30 minutes, 20% at 6 hours, 0% at 7 and a half hours (I usually get closer to 6 hours though at most.) Where does Apple say we should get like 6 hours of charge?.

Where did they say you'd get more than 6 hours?

Apple's projections were somthing like 'The same or better than the iphone 5s', with slightly more battery life in the numbers they posted. (10 hours of talk time versus 11 hours of talk time, or whatever). They never promised you a rose garden.

My last phone was a Galaxy S4. I don't remember the usage times on a charge, but I do know that the battery life was horrible. Combined with the disable of the flashlight at 15% and disable of the camera at 5%, it was a dreadful battery experience.

If your new iphone 6 is better than that was, isn't that a good thing?

All that said, if you are only getting 6 hours of usage and everyone else seems to be getting 8 or 9, I understand your frustration.

This is after I downgraded back to 8.1.1. 8.1.2 was just horrible on my battery. Best battery live I've had on my I-6 since day two.

iPhone 6 Battery Replacement How To Video

After owning my iPhone 4 and my iPhone 5 for a year and a half they started to shutdown when the battery level was still at 10-20%. They would also turn back on and be immediately at 50%. This is a very good indication that your battery needs to be replaced. If this is occurring for you on your iPhone 6, the battery replacement process isn't too difficult. I found this video the most helpful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=demKhXKBg2Q

iphone 6 128gb space grey
About 60% wifi and 40% 4G (with time to time small drops to 3G, but mostly 4G)

Depends on your usage stats, i.e what kind of apps you've been using.

If you can, please post a screenshot of your usage page on settings.

I've been getting about 4 hours usage and 11 hours standby, which i'm not really happy about.

I never get tired of seeeing these foreign iphone screenshots with their wacky "9 goobergobbly, 16 gibberwocky" wording:)

Does seem very low.

Yeah, I've been slowly learning to live with it. But I think I may have solved my problem. I'm home quite a bit, so my iPad is the primary device when I'm around the house. My phone gets used mainly in the 7:30-3:30 timeframe when I'm at school. Anyway, my day usually ends at around 60% with a couple hours total of usage... Lately I would charge my phone overnight even if it was at 60 or so percent, but recently I let it go two days without a charge with the minimal usage, battery died, and I ended at 6 hours.

Before, remember how I said an hour or an hour and a half of usage would put me at 80% or so? Well after finally letting my phone go a full cycle, I'm at an hour of usage and still at 93%. Doesn't speak for what the usage will be when I'm at 1%, but it definitely is an improvement over what it was before. I'm going to start doing an every other day charge so my phone will go into full cycles, rather than awkward half cycles, presumably helping the battery even further.

While playing music with the stock music player or Spotify I was using either safari/chrome/Facebook/Twitter.

Is there any evidence out there that such battery 'tricks' actually have any impact on performance? I thought these modern batteries were not effected by such things.

Haha, my main language is Dutch, that's why.

Well, whatever it was, I like it!

I'm pretty sure I have heard a full discharge of a lithium ion battery benefits from around a monthly discharge to 100% cycle, but I'm not entirely sure. Seems to have helped my phone, till at least 80%, then it started speedily draining again. However I blame that on going to my friends house where the cell service is horrible, and my phone being in a pretty cold environment yesterday. In my battery usage stats, tons and tons of apps say "Low Signal" and "No Cell Coverage" is 6th up from the bottom on a list of 18 different apps, soooo... Yeah.

This applies to all batteries in Apple devices.

I've owned pretty much every iteration iPhone (3G, 3GS, 4, 5) and the 6 is by far the one with the best battery life.

Pretty sure something is wrong here.

I had that same problem with the usage and standby time showing the same. Apple Support said this and a couple of other problems I had were not normal, and that I should restore as new from itunes if they persisted.

Battery Usage/Life Screenshots iPhone 6

iPhone 6 Plus 128GB on 8.1.2. LTE on, GPS used in certain apps, background refresh off, auto brightness enabled. Been fairly consistent. Have a screenshot from 2 days ago that got similar time (plugged in at 20% so rough estimation that it'd get similar times). Also never understand why video apps say audio when they're playing video.

Edit: forgot to mention Bluetooth is off unless I'm using my MacBook.

My battery is horrible smh. But I don't wanna restore and set up as new because i've had an iPhone since 2010 and don't wanna lose everything.

I had resisted setting up my iPhone as new for years. I finally did it to get rid of an iTunes music database bug, and my battery life has been incredibly awesome ever since. It was very good before, but now I can go like 3 days without charging. When I attach my phone to the charger before bed, I usually have 70-75% battery remaining. And my iTunes bug went away (it had survived through several full restores from backup).

So I would highly recommend going for the "restore as new phone" if you can possibly stomach it. I just made sure I backed up all of my photos before I did it. I lost my text messages and App data, but to be honest, that was not a very big deal for me. I can certainly see how it would be devastating for some users.

Yea i'm gonna have to bite the bullet and finally give it a try. Just gonna save all my photos and move them over. That's the only big thing I need.

I tried lots of different things like turning off LTE and animations etc. But what has proved to work best for me is a simple tweak (on a jailbroken iPhone 6 of course) explained in a short video on YouTube. Saves me lots of battery life compared to the iPhone before the jailbreak.
