Trust me dude, I'm having as much fun as I could be regardless of the resolution.

I'm not trying to be rude, because I don't even know if this is 100% correct. But I just don't understand how hitting 100+ FPS on a 60hz screen is going to help you. You could up the res and settings and make it look better, while hitting 60 fps.

Or I could be totally wrong about the 60hz fps thing...

He's right, you are actually missing out quite abit on the eye candy dude, its like buying a PS4 and playing PS3 games on it... kinda... You can easily up the settings on it quite abit and you'll still see 60fps which is more than enough, if you 'need' anymore, then we should call SHIELD and let them know theres another super human.

No reason at all, I just want to have the absolute best performance possible - at the lowest resolution tolerable! haha

As soon as I start tweaking settings, turning this up, this down, this on, this off, I end up getting over zealous and getting poor performance.

So to keep it simple, I throw it on the preset "LOW" mode, put it on a resolution I can just tolerate, and play!

You guys missed this point.

Let me reiterate, in different words.

If I choose to ****ing play this game at that resolution, that's exactly what I'll do.

You guys play it how you want, and I'll play it how I want.

How well does the 27" screen scale from 1080p? Is there a noticeable blurryness?

Is ultra/high really worth it in multiplayer with a system that can 60+ FPS? I'm still considering getting a high-end gaming PC, monitor, and running a MacBook or Mac Mini for OS X. But I wonder if the difference is worth it over an iMac 780m? Could it really be that much better?

so i played for 3-4 hours the game this week and in multiplayer i get 60fps at 1440p+High settings

so go ahead

Thanks bro! I've been all over the map trying to decide on what setup to get and I'm getting tired out lol.

Man, this thing runs BF4 really well. I got the i7 and the 780m. Currently just 8 GB RAM. I have only played single player so far-- haven't had much time for multi yet. I know that single requires a little less load on the system. But I kept it full resolution, and it automatically selected High for all of the settings. And I believe the options at the bottom (I didn't pay attention to what they were, but you know, like AA and options that are different from low - med - high - ultra) are turned off or on the low option.

The game looks really good. I didn't test 1080p, and I don't intend to. ;) Plus it runs quiet. No buzzing in the background from a big tower. I think I heard the fan start running when I started it up the first time, but after that, I haven't heard it rev up again.
