I think he/she raises a valid point though... I am not aware of anyone on HP's staff whose risen to popularity/public figure/pop culture who made money off of discriminating viewpoints.

You think any and all companies dont? lol.

Just because they don't verbally say it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist, thus the overseas jobs, poor work conditions for the overseas jobs, not bringing jobs to america, outsourcing to make bigger margins, laying employees off, sweatshops, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.

GET REAL PEOPLE. HATE is everywhere and more people have died in the name of "God" than any of these hate crimes. UGH. PEOPLE.

If you don't like someones opinion, don't listen to them.
If you don't like a picture, don't look at it.
If you don't want to buy something, then don't.
If you don't want to befriend someone, don't.

ITS SIMPLE.

I don't like the Dallas Coybows, so I don't watch their games.
I don't like the LA Lakers, so I don't watch their games.
I don't like Lil' Wayne, so I don't listen to his music.
I don't like the movie The Hunger games, so I don't watch it.
I don't like celeb gossip magazines, do I don't buy or read them.

ITS SIMPLE

Those are not the issues I've raised. When those sorts of issues have been brought to Apple's attention in the past, they have made good faith efforts to correct them.

So far as I'm aware, Andre Young has never made any sort of good faith effort to correct or make amends for the hate he's sown. And Apple's hiring of him is completely counter to the values they publicly claim to uphold.

I'm no audiophile but I bought some Bowers and Wilkins P3's a year ago and I am still in love with the sound quality, the beautiful build quality and the styling of these headphones.

To me the quality of them is a much better fit for Apple products - the Beats look naff in comparison.

Ok, you're telling me you NEVER have said anything rude or hurtful to anyone, ever? And if so, have apologized for it?

Look, if you don't like his opinion, ignore it. DO NOT expect EVERYONE to think the way you do, or see the world how you see it. HATE is everywhere, so is love, but guess what, it both exists.

I love Eminem, but I don't go scream people are this or that in public.

I also HATE the movie Hunger Games, I do NOT get the joy in watching kids brutally murder each other, KIDS! but its accepted for some reason, I dont cry or complain or start a support group, because I CAN LET IT GO.

I also think the NBA owner said some very questionable stuff, but he was in private, he is entitled to his opinion. What if a BLACK Player, such as Lebron James said the same stuff, he would probably be fined and it would be no big deal. Can I prove that? NO. Its just my opinion and many don't care.

I also think the NFL allows too many criminals to play the game, but I still watch the NFL.

At the end of the day, none of it ruins my day. Im happy with myself and can remain happy. You spend way too much time and effort in caring about things you CANNOT change. GET OVER IT.

What's the problem with Beats headphones and bass ?

Most of the headphones I tested had a serious lack of bass, even the expensive ones I used to work with in music studios. I never tested Beats yet, but if they manage to solve the bass problems most of the headphones have, that's good no ? That's probably one of the true reasons for their success.

I mean even some huge AKG headphones I tested lacked bass, not to mention the medium/smaller ones (which are more pleasant to use). And I'm not talking about any kind of bass, but the lower sub 100 hz (or even sub 50 Hz) ones. That's a difficult kind of bass to obtain and the pleasant one.

And I just read some review and the reviewer mentioned that Beats headphones are best used with hip-hop and electronica music. What a heck is that ? Good speakers and headphones sound great with any kind of music (or movies). Even symphonic parts have a lot of great lower frequencies sounds.

I need them for Bluetooth calling and wired travel, so I was looking for some aptX with cancellation, but I could not find some where the cancellation did not destroy the sound, or had some other issues.

So, I dropped the cancellation, and finally dropped the aptX too to go for the new K845BT.

Overreaction Much?

I also happen to believe that the hiring of Andre Young is an insult to every female, gay and lesbian employee of the company. As long as Dr. Dre is drawing an Apple paycheck, I cannot in good conscience give them so much as a penny of my money.

I don't see it as an insult, that's a tad bit over blowing it. It's also very reactionary to forget how much Apple supports the LGBT community all because they hired one guy who so happens to not support the LGBT community.

Especially someone who doesn't have any power in the overall direction of Apple.

I love the LGBTC and wish no harm upon them, but I think getting angry over people's views that don't have any political power is a little childish. The LGBTC is better than that.:)

THANK YOU. Completely agree with you.

Although they look nice, being an audiophile they do sound too bass heavy. I was gobsmacked by a demo pair in my local Tesco Extra, not to my liking.

:rolleyes:so called audiophiles are the most annoying, obnoxious people on this site.

Here's a fact:some people WANT a lot of bass.So go listen to your senneshers or whatever it's called. No one cares.

Beats have the worse balance headphones out there. Too me I think they're sound too base-y. Skullcandy Aviator's are not that bad of sound much more balance then Beats and are $50 less then the solo HD's (if your comparing to a consumer headphone product).

Buying beats is about as cool as Craig Federighi's unbuttoned shirt! and "beautiful buttery scrolling"!!!!!!

Right, the bass heavy posse wear their hats sideways, their pants hang halfway down their arse, and anytime they speak they precede what they say with "yo yo". They also have $8,000 worth of subwoofers installed in a car that's worth about $1500 bucks.

They aren't obnoxious though.... Not at all. :D

I can see how some people like the way they look, but they never looked good to me. I don't like Beats, but maybe something good from this acquisition could be Apple/ Ive redesigning the headphones.

For me too much bass you loose so much detail in the song and it ends up being a thudding sounding mess. I don't really fit the demographic of heavy bass though as I don't listen to current music. Most of my music isn't that bass heavy. Bob Dylan, Classical, Northern Soul etc.

And a lot of people enjoy high quality sound. And guess what, more people care than you think. Enjoy your Beats......

Oh yeah, I've been a bass player for more than 40 years. Guess what, there's more to music than just bass...

I don't want to live on this planet anymore. No company should be regarded as cool. Only the products they make at best.

As for Beats, awful hardware, terrible sound quality and overpriced. Not cool in my books. And being 21 I'd like to think I'm still counted as a young consumer.
