Do you mean making money? So you know there brand, and they appear shallow. But you actually don’t know how shallow they actually are. You know there brand and that’s it #success. Dr Dre's brand often ends up with being a bruise (we he admits to).

I stand against criminality and acknowledge that I don’t actually know the people behind the brand.

This is more cringe that the gold Apple Watch. Apple is lost at this point. Let's not pretend Beats isn't run by Tim. It's like they keep the Beats brand alive so they can shamelessly profit off things like this without looking bad. Play both sides of the customer base. God I miss 1990s Apple.

Dumpster fire calls up Tim and says "I saw it would cost $3000 for my personal artist to paint my beats.....can you make them for me, sell them, and give me millions in profit. Also send them to me for free.Bye" Then Tim called Eddy and told him to make it so. Eddy picked the skin tones of the next three female coworkers he awkwardly talked to and the product was born. I was trying to let this go as you are obviously a fan of hers but before you try to highroad those of us that are sick of her why don't you consider all of the damage she has caused young women trying to emulate her ENTIRELY FAKE body image? Has this person ever posted a picture that is 100% real and not photoshopped in any way? Every single picture of her that is not flattering she claims was photoshopped to make her look bad!

She got famous entirely by accident, because that's how human nature (as a society) is. Sometimes people latch onto other people for ridiculous reasons.

In a way, you can say she's famous because she's famous. And she only got initially famous by accident.

I have nothing against her, but I do take issue with society making her so obscenely wealthy just because a video leaked. I'd rather people become wealthy because they bring unique talent to the world... she... doesn't.

To be fair, even though I'm not a fan, I'd rather see her image out there than twig-thin Barbie-like models. At least Kim doesn't look like she starves herself daily.

Obviously You have no idea what you're talking about. I am definitely not a fan of Kim, however I also do not berate her because of her body image. I think that’s a disgusting thing to do, and shame on those who do. I am not a fan of Dr Dre because he was a wife beater and openly disregards other laws, but particularly because he is a misogynistic pig.

And to quote Kanye… well I won’t even go there.

So what that a person uses their fame to make money. I am no fan of anyone claiming people are objectifying their body and then using their body as an object to make money, but I am certainly not going to hate on them.

Taylor Swift is another who has a brand, and she constantly takes people to court for even facebooking a photo taken in a concert. Don’t hate on people because they make money unless they do it through criminality.

Agree, and what she has done, is help people get over their own body image because of it. I don’t like that people have had things like "butt transplants" but again, it’s their body and they can choose to do what they like without keyboard warriors trolling on people like Kim Kardashian because she has made a successful brand. It’s just jealousy, and tall poppy syndrome.
 
Kim aside I'm still in disbelief that Apple only sells AirPods Pro in the cheap white color version. You'd think they would make them available in same colors as the iPhone especially since there's one special color every year... There would be thousands and thousands of people switching them yearly. There's one commenter here who immediately came to mind.

That would cost Tim millions in color R&D. Ya I agree its dumb.
 
This forum is largely comprised of older men. While it is a bit misogynistic to discredit a woman for her success, it's not shocking that there's a lack of awareness here. You're not the target audience for this, and while everyone here is calling her trash, plastic, etc., she's laughing her way to the bank.

Kim has redefined the standard of beauty for millions of people, and has a massive following that already buys into her other brands. A wearable tech accessory that aligns with the aesthetics of her other brands is going to sell out quick, as it did. Tbh, it was a smart partnership on both ends.

I think what we're seeing there is her right buttock implant...it's so large and positioned in such a way that you can see it from this front angle! Because, just in case anyone isn't aware: those buttocks are artificial and too large for her body.

On the subject of this Beats product, they (Apple) have really turned me off with this choice. I certainly like the ideas of MORE colors—but I would never spend one cent on something with this person's name in association. Gross. Someone solely famous for having no talent, no redeeming qualities...nothing.

What does this choice say about Apple? Someone at Apple made the decision that these will sell (perhaps to a demographic who would otherwise not have purchased Beats?) and that this would be profitable.

But, really, there are plenty of actually appealing and talented celebrities famed for their works who would have been both more wholesome, and would have brought multi-million person followings to purchase what they promote.

I didn't know that about him until recently, I wasn't a fan of his music, and honestly did not read any news about him. And Beats is now totally an Apple brand as far as I know. He's already been paid his millions for the company. I suppose he probably still makes a percentage.
But if I were going to boycott every product associated with what I consider to be horrible or anti-social people and corporations...I would probably starve to death and freeze over the winter as well, due to lack of electricity, and lack of clothing. Aside from the many, many, essential things that would have to be removed from my life due to unethical or corrupt societal and manufacturing practices. Our world is so interconnected at this point, I can't eliminate everything that is imperfect. So I make choices. How about you?
