Went to see Michael Chapman and Wizz Jones earlier this year and have just got tickets to see The Go! Team in January. Man am I going to be out of place there! A 45 year old receeding hippy bopping to a bunch Brigton Girls!

Oh, and I'm off to see The Might Boosh Show (Comedy) in Islington in the new year too!

Autolux / QOTSA / Nine Inch Nails (SLC)
Jimmy Eat World (SLC and Orem)
Wallflowers (SLC)
Frou Frou / Counting Crows (OREM)
Maroon 5 / Counting Crows / John Mayer (SLC)
and others......
this was in the last year or so

In the summer I saw The Killers at Jones Beach

And on the 28th of November I saw BON JOVI at Madison Square Garden. And you can rag on Jon and the boys all you want, but everytime I go to their shows Im blown away by what a good performance they put on.

Just saw the Foo Fighters last night (in Melbourne). Top stuff. They really got into it and the crowd loved them back. Its a long tour for them and Australia is far away so they didnt dissapoint IMHO when they could have easily just gone with the motions...:p I think they really enjoy coming here.

Green Day and U2 coming up. Pretty standard fare...but fun nonetheless.

Someone told me Kasier Chiefs were their support act? If true, what were they like live?

I've seen Kaiser Chiefs live... I dig 'em. :p

Of course, Dave Matthews over the summer. One of the best live bands ever!

My last concert though was Coldplay with special guest Rilo Kiley. Both of which were awesome.

Hard to fine the time now that I have a little one at home!!!! But it's all good!!!

I saw Guster and the opening band Matt Pond PA about a month ago.

Amazing show. Guster must have played close to twenty songs and came out for three encores. Oh, and the guitarist played an entire song with his pants off.

Seeing Coldplay Feb. 26th!!! Can't Wait!

To the OP, I have yet to see Alison Krauss; however she is spinning on my iPod daily. I absolutely love AKUS. I can't wait for her to come through again, I will definitely be going.

I saw Saosin a few weeks ago at the House of Blues Chicago.

And I plan on seeing Silverstein and 2 members from Bayside at the Metro on Sunday.

In November I saw Trey Anastasio.

October it was Les Claypool & his Fancy Band.

Then in Spetember I went a Katrina benefit concert at Radio City in NYC.

Isn't that show at the House Of Blues? I might be going. Shame that Bayside had the terrible crash and lost their drummer.

I stand corrected. HOB it is. :D And the whole crash thing is very sad, seems sort of surreal. I just recently got into Bayside, they are an awesome band.

I also just noticed its sold out, so unless my friend picked me up a ticket (like she said she would), which I kinda doubt, I guess I won't be going. :(

I see the Doves last week and Sigur Ros a few weeks before that. Both excellent gigs. I'm going to see Nizlopi next week and Jose Gonzalez in the new year :D

I saw Sigur Ros recently too which was amazing. Which gig did you go to? I was in Brixton.

Also went to see British Sea Power a couple of weeks ago which was very good. Before that I saw Jeff Tweedy (Wilco) in London.

My next one coming up is Richard Ashcroft in January which I'm really looking forward to.

Nizlopi! :D

OMG I envy you. I don't think I'll be seeing Sigur Ros anytime soon, it's too bad they're not well known here in Mexico.

I am seeing U2 in February. I'm not a big fan, but I bet it'll be an amazing show.

Yeah I saw them at Brixton too, quite possibly the same night you was there. I forget the date but I have my ticket stub around somewhere, I'll have to fish it out. It was an awesome night, such an atmospheric gig, they even cracked out some Odins Raven Magic which I was chuffed about :D

I wouldn't mind seeing Richard Ashcroft live either, my brother has seen him a few times and says he's pretty good live.

On Friday, I'm going to see Wynton Marsalis and the Linoln Center Jazz Orchestra playing Duke Ellington's Nutcracker Suite. I've heard good things about the piece, so I'm hoping that it will be ****ING AWESOME! :D
Well, I was right. It was indeed ****ing awesome. That is a great band, and Duke was an amazing composer.

I just saw Kanye West last sunday. He was amaaazing!

As big as a rap fan I am, I know that rap concerts generally, well, suck ass. But Kanye was able to stay away from all those dumb things that rappers do like having a 'posse' on the stage rapping and shouting stuff like 'wheres my dawgs at'.

He was really energetic dancing around the stage and the coolest thing was, he had a live band. It was like an orchestra with strings and everything.

The only bad part of the concert was getting kicked out, but other than that we loved it.

Shihad and Grinspoon in April 2005, and Midnight Oil a few years back

shihad were awesome. Any aussies or new zealanders going to Big Day Out have to go see them.

Im going to BDO next year, obviously Shihad will be the band i will be aiming to see.

When Incubus come out to Melbourne next i wanna go. My mate has their live dvd, and the look like a good gig.

I haven't been to a show in a while - if I remember correctly the last concert I saw was the Black Eyed Peas back in July (which was amazing by the way). Just been too busy as of late...
