For everyone reading it's a "machine" - please be aware it's nothing fancy.

It's literally two pieces connected by a hinge. The way people are talking about this thing make it sound like it's futuristic and scanning the device and then using a robotic arm to place it.

EDIT: IT ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE THE ALIGNMENT TRAY BUT METAL. NO JOKE.

Do you think with the Tray applicator it might work as well as the in store machine?

The store machine is a metal version of the tray applicator.

Just turn your shower on hot for 3 mins and close the bathroom door. Then turn it off, wait another five mins with the door closed, and then go in and close yourself inside and apply your protector. It pretty much completely cleans the air of particles, so you can have time to make it as straight as you need with no bubbles or dust.

And it costs....... ZIP

Does this really work? I will have to try this as my OCD hates applying screen protectors lol

Just picked a couple of these up from my Apple store (finally got the email to colldct( and was disappointed to be told that they do NOT apply this in store for iPhone X, they don’t have a machine to apply it on the X and have no idea if they will for that particular phone.

Bummer. Didn’t think the machine was any different to the non-glass screen protector.

Well dang-it, that just put a hiccup in my plan, I've never used a screen protector on any of my phones, but the 7+ is the only that has sustained some micro scratches

This is how I have been applying protectors on my families phones for years. Yes, it's great. Lint free under the glass. ONE more word of advice doing this... Keep the glass you're applying face up at all times. Peel the layer off the glass exposing the adhesive side, BOTTOM DOWN. This way, if there is any floating lint left, it won't attract and settle on the adhesive side. So, adhesive side facing the floor, always.

I️ just left my Apple Store with my X and had the Belkin Invisiglass installed. I️ can confirm they have the machine and will install for you. And it covers the full display unlike the one for the 7.

Thank you SO much for that photo! Now I know I can buy the Invisiglass later when I pick up my phone!

looks good but I still can't get over the price. Its 45 bucks here in Canada. At least it covers screen unlike all iphone 6,7,8 ones

Crazy, here in Germany it’s 29,95€ – normally Apple converts the US prices 1:1 so it should be 39,95€, I have no idea why they made it cheaper.

I would absolutely go to the store and have it done. If there is any imperfection or dust under the protector when they do it, they will replace it for free. I dont even think you need to wait until the line dies down. They have associates specifically for sales and then associates for everything else. I bought the phone from 1 person and he sent me to another person to do the install.

Agreed. The price sucks but on a $1250 phone, it really is nothing. Its good quality, very thin, and dont have to worry about a bad install.

yes but the review for these are bad and review state they break easy. That is my real concern.

Ok went to the store again. They have people specially in to apply these as now they have the machine for the X.
I handed them the one I ordered online and they had to replace it with another specifically for the machine. Online it cost £19.99 but in store it’s £24.99. The manager approved a swap and it was done quickly in store.
Bring your receipt if you purchased online

I saw those too, but they review the protection for the 6/7/8 – so many be it’s better now for the X?

Personally I have the Belkin on my iPhone 7 – and it didn’t cracked. So, I think it’s not a generell problem. Out of a million using this product ...

Ive had it on my 7 since day one and have a tiny chip on 1 edge but no cracks. Also had it on my 6s with no issues. Every incident is different obviously.

Was this the Belkin glass screen protector or the cheaper one?

thanks for the updated info, went ahead and ordered the Belkin and a USB-C to Lightening cable, since I have a 12" Macbook for the fast charging.

does this have a cutout for the notch? i saw a video posted online and it looked like the notch was also covered.

Yes, if you look closely at the picture I posted, there is a cutout for the notch.

The video you have posted is the anti glare film, not the invisiglass.

i noticed that watching it again. apple store stock pics shows a notch cutout on both the anti glare and regular invisiglass. i dont see the cutout in this screengrab though.

That looks perfect! The protector fits the notch perfectly!

Can you also please take a photo of the back of the phone with the saddle brown case?

Wanna see if there are any gaps in the cutout for the camera.

Thanks!
