I wish the MagSafe didn't have the magnet. I preferred my third party Qi charger for my 11 Pro Max. I just set it down and picked it up.
This is designed for iPhone 12 only though.

For those who do not travel much this is more worth it than the MagSafe duo because it comes with a 40 watt power adapter and can charge 3 devices while for the MagSafe duo you have to buy a power adapter and it can only charge two devices.
Its not worth it at all when travelling in my opinion. I'd rather have the tiny MagSafe Duo than this bulky mess to take with me on the road.

I'm not sure what this has to do with my post about MagSafe and the 12 Pro Max.
Your post states 11 Pro Max Perhaps it was a general statement not related to a post about a product from Belkin.

That's not the point. I have same opinion as @Mac Prodigy.

I pick up and put down my phone into a simple Qi wireless charger a million times each day.
(hmm... what's the actual average # that studies report? maybe dozens or hundreds?)

I don't have to pull it off a strong magnet.

In my car I'd appreciate that. In my office, my house, No. Completely unnecessary.
That is the point. If you pick up and put down your phone on the charger a million times a day, why would you use MagSafe if it bothers you? That makes no sense. You'd continue using a standard Qi charger. Wishing MagSafe didn't have magnets doesn't make sense either. 1. Without magnets, MagSafe would be a horribly misnamed. 2. It would just be a Qi charger... which I assume you already have. 3. MagSafe isn't a requirement everytime. Use it in your car. In your office, your house, don't use it. Problem solved.

I find it odd how cumbersome you think it will be to remove items off the magnets.

The two different angles, which is fixed and CAN'T be rotated, is kicking-in my OCD.

I'll wait for the next version.

So, don't buy it. The whole point of this thing IS the magnet. Belkin also has a great similar charger that does not contain magnets.

I'm sure cheaper ones will pop up from other manufacturers on Amazon, but if you add up all the separate components from Apple's website the Belkin solution is cheaper, only takes up one wall outlet, and looks a hell of a lot better.

You can also charge a non-MagSafe phone on the base, as some people have pointed out before.

The advantage to MagSafe charging is that the phone is precisely placed on the coils and can therefore operate at a faster speed with lower wasted power and thermals. The Android crew is going to whine about having fast Qi charging forever, but the chargers rarely output the full power unless perfectly aligned, which Apple is attempting to fix here.

If they can only figure out how to transfer DATA as well through MagSafe... We won't need a port anymore and it'll be glorious.

Magsafe Charger ($39)
AppleWatch Charger ($29)
Wireless charging pad (>$30)
3x 20W Power Adaptors ($19x3)
Total: $155

A little bit more messy wires wise and you still have to buy a magsafe cable, but the nice part is you can just remove the normal charging components and not pack the stand if you want less bulk in your suitcase/carry on when travelling when that ever happens again.

Any idea on when it would be available in Hong Kong or other places in the world? Or will it be available outside US? Have been waiting for this for a long time. Would be a permanent solution to MagSafe. The current Magsafe Duo just don't look that good on my desk, though it is good when I can take it to my office to use.
Would like to.know it, too. Waiting for a release in Germany.
