Exactly. So same performance as 11-inch iPad Pro?
While it doesn't help in most things, (opening apps/driving to the grocery store), It will help in those tasks that require more power (Rendering videos/Driving on the highway or autobahn). And has the benefit of same fuel economy.what can you do for that M1 performance, does it increase the web loading speed or app open speed? It's like add a V12 in a Honda Civic!
The new home pod mini max with M1.The M1 must cost very little for Apple to manufacture. It’s in so many products.

Economies of scale, the more they make the less each costs individually. They also don’t have to pay Intel for their cut.The M1 must cost very little for Apple to manufacture. It’s in so many products.

Unsung hero.
iPadOS is baby software. The point is not to put MacOS in it but to build a true OS for productivity.Mac OS and touch??? Good luck with that.
I see people with a nice expensive iPad Pro with keyboard attached.. struggling..iPadOS is baby software. The point is not to put MacOS in it but to build a true OS for productivity.

That and Apple's own policies on things like virtual machines and emulators.Lol, well the downclock is iPadOS.
iPadOS for use with touch and have a DeX-style setup where it switches over into the macOS interface when a mouse and keyboard are connected with all the iOS apps still running just fine through the Catalyst compatibility layer. Why not put MacOS on iPad? That will be a killer!

If all they are using it for is word processing having a tablet for consuming media might be the better cost versus use for certain people. I love my m1 MacBook Air however it’s my least used device next to my phone and iPadI see people with a nice expensive iPad Pro with keyboard attached.. struggling..
Just get a MacBook Air M1. It’s so much more productive. iPad OS is still limited.
I guess so but I feel like certain things are just so annoying on iPad consoles to a MacBook. I have an iPad and anything involving manipulation of data is a headache. If all they are using it for is word processing having a tablet for consuming media might be the better cost versus use for certain people. iPads mouse and keyboard support is sufficient for many users though. Of course it might not be useful for a power user but someone who only checks email and might write a paper it’s fine. It’s especially useful for lower income families who might not be able to buy their kids multiple devices. You can use any cheap mouse and keyboard with themI guess so but I feel like certain things are just so annoying on iPad consoles to a MacBook. I just use it for some video and browsing.
If the M1 can run MacOS, the only reason MacOS wouldn't function on an iPad is input. Why don't they just eliminate iPadOS and maintain, just Mac and iPhone?M1 iPad needs Mac OS Lite.....iPad OS is a toy
