I don't think that's a good shade of blue. But… I especially don't think you should mix blue and… orange?

(edit) People are pointing out that blue and orange are complementary. That's true, but this shade of blue is a lot closer to purple, so the complement would be closer to yellow. Which in this case it's not. Moreover, I personally wouldn't want two saturated colors calling for attention on my watch.
you are literally wearing a blue shirt with an orange under shirt😅

But I think the rules change when you are wearing plaids. It's such a mashup of colors.

This is true, but they're not wrong. I do like both orange and blue, and that day (which was, what, a decade ago? heh), I liked wearing them both. But I don't think the particular shades of blue and orange on that watch work quite as well, and I also personally don't think you want your watch to look that colorful and saturated.

It's very cool looking, but not something I'd pay an arm and a leg for. It's like an orange car, you love it for a couple of weeks but then after that realize you hate it. As an aside, I'm not into gold too much but the gold plated link bracelet looked really nice. In particular the way Apple's bracelet slides into the phone, versus some of the god-awful lugs most other watch band makers incorporate. I just wish they had a Titanium bracelet to match my Ultra.

Let's see if NASA agree!

I mean, would you wear a watch in that color theme? I personally would not. :)
The gold watch metal band, no, I would not wear that, I don't like metal bands.

The blue watch, yep, I certainly would. A lot of people are hung up on the orange, but it's so small a part of the color, who cares, and I like the contrast anyway. I'd probably wear a blue fabric watchband with it, since that's what my series 6 looks like. (blue watch, blue fabric band, orange on the dial because it's cellular.

As for this particular watch, it's a custom order, so i expect that the owner likes it just fine! And some people buy a watch for the visual impact, and you need contrasting colors for that.

Totally agree! That's what the bands are for, right.

I think people should be able to wear what they want to as far as colors. The whole idea that I can't wear my favorite suit because it's mot past Easter is nuts...

Agreed.

(I do have an orange sport band for fun summer times. But it's hard to match that with pretty much anything… it matches my watch body poorly, for example.)

The dark metallic blue I like, but again, probably can only match that with a very neutral-looking band.

I don't have much of a life outside of work (casual, no suits needed), so I don't really pay attention to matching other than make sure it doesn't look hideous. :)

But hideous is in the eye of the beholder. I'm married, I ask the wife. :D:D:D:D:rolleyes: She threatened to ground me when she saw what I was going to wear golfing. I sent her a picture of some of the 'wildlife' on the course. o_O That might be why she said she would never golf in her life, and so far hasn't. :p And it seems that every sport too has their 'clothing rules'. Someone was ripped and left for dead at a group ride due to a major infraction. Given what some pro teams have gotten away with wearing, I don't know why anyone cares. I mean, as long as it's not see through, and the rider is comfortable, who cares...

Oh, on 'see through'.

Back in the 80's, there was a Japanese company that made, at the time, the BEST bike riding attire ever!

And they had shorts that were for 'hot days', and had a stretchy mesh panel in the back. A stretchy panel that seemed to reveal more as I aged. The elastic was fine, but apparently the degree of the stretch was firmer and people 'suggested' that I retire them. :D:D:D:D:oops::cool:

I still have them, and still would wear them indoors. Their stuff was just that good. The name: Descente. They apparently only(?) make ski attire now. :(
