Got 2 homepods today for $405 so I’m pretty happy. although won’t be able to add apple care to the ones I bought most likely so that is one down side. And the Best Buy deal would have gotten to me sooner. Oh well.
Didn't think about AppleCare. I don't have it on either of my current HomePod'd. I think its the one item that you're probably safe without it. Especially when you nab 2 for $405

Thanks! Space Gray is sold out but I did snag a couple white. Man I’d be annoyed if I looked for this deal on Friday and they were sold out.
Just did the same. Figure I can exchange the white if the SG's come back in stock in the coming days. I thought the sale was supposed to start later but glad I looked this morning.
I pulled the trigger on bestbuy.com I always wait then it sells out and I get sad lol. not this time I just went for it.
Good idea. I only looked at the space gray and not the white. After reading your post, I snagged a white one with pickup December 1. Hopefully when I pick it up I can exchange it for a space gray.
I was able to order mine at $249 this morning too. This is my 2nd HomePod and I don’t do Apple Care for any of my Apple products, personally. I feel like if I say anything regarding Apple Care that I’m going to jinx myself and something will break.
They were sold out online on the black so picked up a white one which will be fine since it’s going in the kitchen. I’ve never even heard one so I’m taking everyone’s word they are good

I just got one, too! White is what I wanted, so I’m happy. Excited—- I haven't really done much reading on the HomePod since they first came out, so now I need to obsessively research.
Both are back in stock. For people still looking I suggest checking throughout the day. Brick and mortor stores should have at least 4 in stock as well.

Same here. I have a black HomePod which I keep in the living room and the white one I just got at $249 is destined for the master bath. When we host outdoor summer parties I'll now have two of them to place strategically in the backyard using Apple TV as the third set of speakers and playing the role of the hub.
As far as your learning curve, it's very straightforward except for one little thing they don't do a good job of telling you: You need to have the Home app installed, use it to configure the HomePod, and use it for software updates. Other than that, it's as easy as Siri on your iPhone. If you don't have an Apple Music subscription, the Best Buy offer today also came with 3 months free Apple Music, it's essential for the HomePod to play music.
Apple Music is not required. Streaming from iOS devices and iTunes on MacOS works...
How did you get yours to ship out so fast? Mine is shipping via ups and a label has been created. I ordered mine about 20 minutes it was announced. Expected delivery shows November 30th.
Update: My Delivery shows by November 27th, which is next Tuesday. I don't think UPS delivers on Saturday, not unless you pay for Saturday delivery.

No idea, I ordered around 10pm I think? I also ordered a Sonos Beam and wine fridge for the girlfriend about 45 minutes later. Those items haven’t shipped out yet, but are waiting for pickup from UPS.
