Seriously? Ya know that is always my greatest fear, that someone can bring fake money, but Ive sold a few iPads on craigslist before and never had a problem. I can get a pretty good feeling about a person when I see them and see if they look like con artists..that is why I prefer just trading these things into the stores last time I bought this iPad Air 2 was at best buy but I also used a movers coupon dont know if I could use those anymore
Where in LA are you..Im near The Grove..I chatted with someone else at best buy and she told me the same thing the other person said, that the 100 dollar gift card is on TOP of the value of the ipad
Edit: i called best buy, they said no it doesnt work like that, if the value of my iPad Air 2 is 207 that is what I would get for it so I will just use craigslist and hope that someone eventually buys it

Meet at a bank and Have them take out money from atm or teller in front of you. That's what I do.

Two people wrote me today saying they are interested in purchasing the iPad..so will see what happens, one said they wanted it for 350 while the other said 360 so whoever is willing to meet up on Thursday/Friday that is the one I will go with. Since the iPad case I have is pink makes more sense to give it to the girl who says she wants it but will see what happens. Will be meeting her next to the movie theater at the mall I go to, I know people working inside so they can actually verify the money is legit before she leaves thats probably the best bet

I got an offer last night at midnight for $350... Wonder if it's the same offer you got. Name was Daisy.

Yes same girl..I texted her and she said that she will let me know(I Can only meet up on Friday) holy cow what are the odds that it was the same person..guess this shows that this person is really interested in getting an iPad. Figured I would have a better chance in selling this iPad to a girl since the case that I have is pink

Seeing this thread about trading in your old iPad at Best Buy, remained me that Apple also has a recycle program for iPhones. I checked and they give credit for iPads too. For my Air 2 with cellular, Apple's credit was $6 more than BB. Not much difference but at least they are comparable. Older iPad maybe less than the $100 minimum BB is offering however. Personally, I'd rather purchase my Apple products directly from Apple and trade-in transaction can be done in one of their retail stores. Has anybody here used Apples program?

Here is the Apple link.

It's also worth noting, the Apple quote is more than the quotes from Gazzele and Amazon, which surprised me. I used to sell my old devices on Craigslist, but have since given that up.

Also... to be clear... you can get this offer regardless of whether you order an iPad Pro or not. They do, however, limit you to one trade-in that invokes the $100 minimum.

So anybody holding on to an old iPad should do this.... you can do this and get a Mini 2, or iPhone accessories, or a printer if you want.

I had an iPad Mini 1st gen, and an iPad 3. I traded in the Mini under the $100 minimum, and the iPad 3 and got $94.

So I am now sitting on $194 worth of Best Buy Gift cards.

My plan is to buy an Apple Pencil, clear rear shell and Smart Cover with those (should pay for most of it anyway.)

Then, I'll buy the 9.7 Pro and Apple Care once I can play with one hands-on first.
