iPad Best Buy iPad Air: What time will they open up orders?

Are you a MyBestBuy rewards program member? That's the only reason I try to buy my Apple products at Best Buy.

I just got back from my local store and the employee said first come first served and there is no preorder. He knows me from my prior business with the store and I'm confident he would play it straight with me.

Maybe I'll get there at 7:00am tomorrow but that waiting on any kind of a line will be a long agonizing 60 minutes. :)
 
Technically there aren't "pre-orders" anyways, since the launch day is tomorrow anyways :p

Looks like I'll do the same only I'm going to get there around 7:30. I'm quite curious to see if there's any kind of line. I was originally supposed to be at work by 8 but we've had our maintenance pushed out a few hours so I can wait until 10 :). I should be able to get one by that time even if there is a line.

Then again, Apple is AWESOME on returns. Now that I think about, I am hitting the road in a few days and would be nice to just stop into an Apple store if I have an issue. With multi-millions of these units out there, some are sure to have some problems.

If you're getting the 16GB model or if Walmart honors the $20 deal with bigger capacities, you could take the ad to Best Buy and they have price matching.

Also I'm an Elite Plus member at Best Buy. If you're an Elite Plus member you get 45 day return period and a 25% point bonus. Also 24/7 dedicated phone support.

So I'll earn 799 base points + 199 bonus points which = 998 reward points. That's enough to issue a $20 discount on any future Best Buy purchase.

They are opening early at 8AM and it will be much more low key. I really don't want to be dealing with chatty fanboys standing on line at the Apple Store that early in the morning. lol

I'll have to wait and see if the in store pickup with online Apple orders is actually true. I might do that if it's for real. If Best Buy has in store pickup that would be even better.

I was planning on picking up a 64gb grey at&t from best buy at midnight...
 
I just tried an online chat and the rep said she couldn't give me a specific time for sure but said to check at 12:01 EST and see.
 
Can anyone confirm if Best Buy will be doing in store pickup for tomorrow with online orders that are made tonight? ... if not it would be nice if someone could confirm if Apple.com will offer the in store pickup like the rumors suggest.

Already mentioned this above. You would get 1 point per $1 and elite plus gives you 25% bonus too.

I'm getting the 128GB wifi model which is $799 so you get 799 points plus 25% bonus. So you'll be just 2 points shy of 1000 points which = $20 gift card.

I just checked, I'm an Elite plus member and have $15 in certificates I didn't know about. Best buy it is
 
I was just able to order one for in-store pickup... the order status page says "confirming store inventory" though. So not sure if it will go through or not.

The charge is pending on my card though.

At Best Buy's website? All of them still say "Coming Soon" and don't allow you to add any to your cart. Which model did you get and where did you go to purchase it? You sure you didn't accidentally buy an iPad 4? Link would help...thanks

I did the 16GB white wifi iPad Air... but I just got an email saying the item isn't available and the order was cancelled lol

must have just bugged out for a minute

But the option for in store pickup was there? If so, that's a good sign that they might offer it in 20 mins. Hope so!
