iPad Best Buy iPad Air: What time will they open up orders?

I think if you get there at 7:40AM it will be safe... every article states how the supply is plentiful and going to Best Buy is more low key than an Apple Store. But the Apple Store will have the biggest supply obviously....so it's a catch 22 situation.

I might stay awake until 3AM just to see if apple.com does in store pickups. Then I can relax and go later in the day to grab it. Plus the Apple store is in the mall here literally around the corner. Slightly closer than Best Buy.

I'm also going for the 128GB model which is the easiest to get as it's the most expensive. That's my thinking at least.

HAHA...I'm just picturing a dad pretending to be calm waiting for his son to get on the bus, waving goodbye. Then as soon as his son is out of eye sight, he runs like a maniac to his car and peels out of the driveway.

Son looking out of bus window "I think I just saw my dad weeving through traffic :confused:"

The Apple website isn't working but the Apple Store app has the iPad Air available now. It says "Available Today for in store pickup" at my local store!

UPDATE: Apple.com is working now... IN STORE PICKUP is confirmed!
 
It's like we get punished for being reward members (guessing that's why we all want to buy at BB) looks like we're gonna have to go line up in 5 hrs for me at least
 
No line for me if I can't just walk in and buy one tomorrow I'll just have to wait.

True ... And for me I have gift cards I've been saving for just this item. Ahh well, it will happen eventually ... all good things come to those who wait :)

I think they updated it, with a ship date of 11/11. Good thing I went through Apple. :D
 
Well even though I have $455 in reward zone certificates alone...I've placed an order on the Apple Store for pickup today. I guess there will be other times to use it.

I just wonder how many sales best buy loses by dragging their feet on this...it just doesn't make alot of sense not to be prepared to flip the switch when Apple does. :confused:
