I think I'm gonna hit the sack, I just noticed that Best Buy made the iPad Air cases available. I think they're specifically with holding the device itself. Walmart, and Target have already made them available.

No line for me, it is raining and windy. Kudos to those standing outdoors waiting for the store to open but I'm not sure many would do that now. I'll wait in the car later after I go to the gym BUT I doubt I'll have any problem securing one with many people going to school and work. And I do not have to worry about stock depleted because there is no preorder.
I'm waiting in the parking lot of my local Best Buy. No one in line. No one else in the parking lot but employee cars. I'm a little surprised but oh well. I'll have mine in an hour!
I wouldn't wait too long, people have posted pictures from Target and a lot of their stores received like 5 total iPads. Best Buy may not have that many more.
It's funny, as you said that someone drove up and I scurried out of my car and right into line

300 is a good number. However, there are 31 different models. Of course, I am only interested in one particular model.

Lol I'm trying to order from bestbuy.com but it still says Coming Soon. Wanted to use best buy because I can return easily. I live in Newark, NJ so there are not really any apple stores around here. Best buy is more convenient if I have any problems. looked on apple.com though and they have the space grey 32GB Wi-Fi and it will be here by 11/4/2013 so it’s in best buys hands. Wanted to get the reward points though.
Talked to a rep and it was supposed to go live at 12am Est. I even woke up again at 3AM to check again. Hopefully it goes live at 8.
Right now I’m at school and noticed I forgot my Debit card at home and Apple doesn't take PayPal but best buy does so hopefully it goes live soon. Also wondering about best buys shipping speed hopefully it’s not worse than apples or I might just go with them. Apple has a 14 day return policy. So let’s see how this goes.

Yeah same, Apple has it available at my store for in-store pickup today, done! Forgoing $10 in rewards from BB but I'll live.
That's just freaking great. Best Buy was my only hope of getting it today. I'll still call this afternoon and hope they still have some. If they don't, at least I ordered from apple at 3:01 AM and can have it delivered to me on Monday.

I'm at one of our smaller Best Buys & am the only one here. Now my concern is will this small store have a 128GB ATT Gray
I got my iPad! But they didn't have any smart cases or covers lol. I wanted a black one. I'm just glad I got the device!
Best Buy is one of the most unorganized chains around... they never know whats going on when new products are released. Their Elite Plus thing is completely useless too, a lot of time you actually end up paying more than the average savings would be. They should really get their act together.

Everyone I asked said they didn't really have much of an idea. I guess their manager told them not to say anything? I do know I was the first Space Gray 64 Wifi. But then again I was only #5 in line lol
In and out in 15 minutes. The line consisted of 5 people at 7:45am which I joined. It was raining and they let us wait inside the double doored entrance.
They seemed to have plenty in stock. About 50 were carted from their supply room to the front and they probably had more in the back.
