Same. I’ve tried both app and website. I do have a passcode and it’s not asking for it. I’m wondering if that’s the problem.
Asked me a security question, I get to the point where I can see my lines that say UPGRADE with the numbers...after that spinning logo with error saying can't process request

Trying to get a 16 Pro Max 512GB Black Titanium. I just placed a backup order on Apple.com for pickup next Friday in case I can't get through with Best Buy. But I would prefer to purchase from Best Buy so I can get the included AppleCare with my Total membership. I also have a ton of Best Buy rewards points and gift cards to use. If I can get an order in with Best Buy for pickup or delivery next Friday, then I'll cancel my Apple order.

You paying outright or using an upgrade? Not sure I can do that with Verizon trade in upgrade, etc...

Same here! Very annoying but I’m assuming Best Buy will still have launch day stock since no one can place orders.
 
The AT&T verification worked for me right when they dropped, but then noticed I chose the wrong phone.. Now I’m stuck at the verification page lol. Their pre order system was wonky like this last year, just took a bit for it to get up to speed

Paying outright. If you're trading in/using an upgrade, then I guess you would burn your upgrade eligibility if you placed an order at Apple. I selected the "unlocked"/"connect to carrier later" option at Apple so I didn't have to even log into my Verizon account.

I'm the account holder, I'm sure I'm entering the SSN and verfication code correctly

Good to know. I haven’t upgraded in 4 years and have 3 lines to pre order for.

I get a one time pin sent to me. It fails to authorize after that. I’m on AT&T.
Definitely sounds like a Best Buy issue since people are unable to connect with both Verizon and AT&T. Hopefully it will get sorted out soon.

Same. I did my iPhone 16 Pro Max through my iPhone Upgrade Program, but am having no luck for the rest of my family with Best Buy for AT&T.
*I do have a PIN on my account and there is no spot asking for that...

Used to work for Best Buy Mobile way back in the day. Probably a Best Buy system error, which is unsurprising.

...at least it isn't just me...
 
If you guys are still seeing the "unable to process your request" error, try clearing your browser's cache and cookies (or just use a different browser altogether). After I did that, it let me log into my Verizon account again and everything went smoothly.

Thank you for this. Not sure if it actually allowed it to work, since I had to do it a few times, but I got 3 of the 4 ordered. Have to do a 4th in a separate order, as Best Buy limits the cart to 3 mobile phones at a time.
Getting the error again, so the cycle of trashing the cache continues.
 
Got my 3 phones ordered for pick up. Best Buy says my plan doesn’t qualify for the new promotion deal but AT&T website says my plan qualifies. So I’ll call and verify with AT&T later.
 
No idea why anyone trusts BB. Every year there are horror stories.
I’ve ordered and picked up my iPhones from Best Buy on launch day every year for the fast 4 or 5 years. Other than these initial website glitches when pre-orders first open, I’ve had zero problems.
