I picked up an excellent-certified at Best Buy for $772 yesterday. I checked the serial number on Apple's support page and it was originally purchased Feb 27th. Geek Squad did a full inspection and updated it to iOS 9.3. It is Space Grey and that's the only color I'll consider because I don't want a white bezel on the front.
I'm still getting used to the size. I think it'll be like going from an iPhone 5 to a 6 Plus where it's awkward at first and then becomes normal soon. The extra screen size is nice for reading and great for videos. You can tell when some apps, mostly games, aren't updated for the extra resolution because they look a little fuzzy. There is zero lag or slowdown. The speakers are very loud. I probably won't use that much since I usually have headphones. Now I'm trying to find a sleeve that'll fit in my shoulder bag and debating if I want to spend $60 on the over-priced Smart Cover like I had on my iPad Air 1.
The combination of the bigger screen and doubling the storage space makes the new iPad Pro feel REALLY big inside and out.

Thanks for the reply. I plan on picking it up tonight and using it for a while. I've got 45 days to decide and if I end up finding it too big I'll return it and get one of the 9.7s.

Not sure, that was the sticker on the open box. I was kind of surprised to tell the truth and nothing is wrong with it since I have been using it so I am a happy camper.

Thanks. I'll see if I can get them down some additional due to the current sale. I suspect they won't but it doesn't hurt to try.

Just got back from Best Buy with my new(ish) Pro. They did have the 32gb space gray certified open box in stock for $636.99. I mentioned how someone on the MacRumors forums got the exact same one a couple days ago for $550 and thought it was maybe due to the sale they had going on. He said he should be able to adjust it some and said it would come to $573.29. I was happy with that so I bought it. I wan't to give special thanks to @AppleRobert as it was his post that gave me the idea to ask for discount.

So I am 24 hours into using the 12.9" with Apple Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil via staples deal price matched at BB.

My initial thoughts:

The Apple Pencil is amazing.

Apple Smart Keyboard for the 12.9" is very nice. They nylon material they used and the key spacing is perfect. I could easily see myself typing research papers on this if I was still in school. It is very comfortable and responsive. I do wish they keys were backlit. I do wish you could activate Siri using the keyboard since the 12.9" does not always have Siri On when unless connected to power.

The screen size & quality on the 12.9" is very nice. I take recreational pictures with a Canon 6D and didn't realize how much detail I was missing while viewing pictures until I saw them on this screen. Even my wife mentioned it was a noticeable difference with clarity. For the past 24 hours I have found myself only using the keyboard to type in web addresses, answer emails, and even respond to text messages. The iPad is just to big to use the on-screen keyboard comfortably and quickly. As I type this post I am using the keyboard with the iPad on my lap. If I was to leave the house I am not sure how I would use the iPad if I was standing and holding it in my hands. It actually looks weird in the hand because of its size. This thing is meant to be used while sitting at a desk or table. Watching movies and videos are nice with the extra screen real estate but I personally need mobility when it comes to an iPad.

Verdict:
Even thought the 12.9" iPP is amazing it is just too big for me. I will be returning and sticking with the 9.7" that I have on order. This experience has sold me on the Apple Pencil (will be keeping it) and the Smart Keyboard. I will be purchasing the Smart Keyboard for the 9.7". I am a little worried about the key spacing but I am pretty sure I will adapt. Not being able to activate Siri will not be a problem since the 9.7" always has Siri On with or without power connected. I don't like the price point but I do have a clamcase keyboard that I used with my Air 2 and it does not feel near as nice at the apple version. After watching some of the recent review videos I am even more excited for the 31st.

The price is back to normal. It also pushed the Open-box price up to $864. Congrats to everyone who were able to get the deal. I don't think we'll see the prices that low until the next iPad Pro 12.9 is released.

It still wouldn't hurt to occasionally check the open box inventory at your local Best Buy if you are in the market for one. The one I bought that was listed on-line for $636 but had a sticker on the box for $643 since 3/13 so it's possible to find them for less than the on-line listed price. At least the sale managed to allow me get an additional 10% off the $636 price.

I was really happy with the $799 Staples price which I priced matched to Best Buy. Great deal for the 12.9". Maybe that will come up again soon at Staples

Used it and ordered a 128 go+cellular in space grey.

Honestly, no to sure what is up with it, but NOT A SINGLE BEST BUY IN THE STATE HAD ONE AVAILABLE TO GO IN THE STORE AND BUY.

Only way I could get one is if I ordered for delivery, which I went ahead and did. The guy looked at me like I was crazy since there were none in stock anywhere in the state haha
