I visit the two Apple Stores in my area and I see very little activity at the Apple Watch tables. From my perspective I think that watch sales are slooooow. However Apple has priced the watches a such a high level that they can afford to wait a little longer for sales. I own the Sport model and wonder if it will eventually become a collectors item.

And international resellers...?!

Some of us, ya know, don't live in the US, and have the dredded ~20% VAT+10% duties on our prices (sniff, UK, sniff). Do we get any of these discounts, as I sure haven't seen any...?

So many discounts on the ill-fated Apple Watch.

This tells us one thing, and one thing only: it's not selling.

I wish it were not so.

I wouldn't consider it if the price was 100 cents, but I imagine others might.
How many AW units would Apple have to sell to be satisfactory to your standards? From the reports, they've been selling a lot. The AW is far from "ill-fated"

Is this $100 off the original MSRP of $399 for the 42mm Sport? If so then I basically got the same deal from B&H, $349, discounted $50, then a $50 B&H gift card, net price $299, no tax. Already have a plan for the $50 gift card.

I always do exactly that.

It guarantees me the best possible buying experience and all the aftercare I need should any problems arise (very unlikely I know) with the product.

You do realize that even if you buy an apple product from another store you can still take it to an Apple Store for support? ( except for return / exchange of course )

End of day - makes no difference.

Target has $100 gift card with purchase, and you save an extra 5% when you use a redcard. That seems smarter.
Target has limited models to select for shipping online, and also for pickup - near me at least. Even Best Buy doesn't have all models unfortunately. Was thinking of upgrading to the 38mm Apple Watch with black classic buckle, but apparently that's not available on the website so I'm considering the Milanese loop.

Worse comes to worse, get the Milanese loop and buy the classic buckle separately, and you can switch them out when you feel like it.

Yes it is $100 off the Sport. Better than B&H since you don't have to worry about a gift card.

No it doesn’t. Don’t be ridiculous. All it guarantees you is that you’ll be served by Apple employees. Those people with the failing MacBook Pro graphics cards didn’t get better treatment becuase they bought chez Apple.
Applecare, which no doubt you purchase in addition also guarantees you aftercare.

Sometimes words fail me. Get it at Best Buy online. Go spend the $100 dollars you saved in the Apple Store or donate it to an Apple 'endorsed' charity.
Better still come buy from me. I’ll give you $50 worth of food, champagne and ass kissing for your $100?

Quite the deal for a 7 month old revolutionary watch that changed everything! I’ll wait for the ‘Free iPhone battery case when you buy an Apple Watch for half price’ promo. ;)

If you use a Best Buy card you get 5% back in rewards. Same thing it just depends on if you which store you shop at more.

In some Best Buy stores, you may actually be served by an Apple Employee too. My store actually has 2 Apple Emplpyees working in the Apple Shop.

One thing I'd like to note is Apple Store does price matching.

If you're bent on purchasing an Apple Watch from an Apple Store,
you can ask them to price match Best Buy's deal, and they most likely will.

A couple of months ago, Best Buy had UrBeats on sale for $79.99,
while the Apple Store had it listed for $99.99.
I asked a Specialist if they could price match, and they did with the manager's approval.

"( except for return / exchange of course )" is a big difference.

BestBuy and others offer the same return / exchange policy as Apple... at least they do here in Canada - by law. Not gaining much by buying at an Apple Store where prices won't be discounted.
