Take a deep breath, count to ten, and recenter. This is the internet. People say stupid stuff on the internet. I do, you do, we all do. It's really not worth getting all that worked up over.

I'm not worked up over it, regardless of it being the internet, these are people .. real, live, breathing humans with thoughts and allegiances as stupid as this.

Like Apple are any more original? Try taking a look at Samsungs entire portfolio (cameras, tv's, phones etc) then ask who's original?

Samsung's TVs Cameras, phones and stuff, look just like every other one on the market.

When the iPhone came out, everyone said, "This is crazy,no one will buy one of these, everyone want's flip phones." When the iPad came out, everyone said, "This is crazy, they should try making the iPad a little computer, running a desktop OS, just like everyone else." When the iPod came out, "They should just make another Walkman clone, just like everyone else." When the iMac came out, "This is crazy, no one wants a computer that looks like that..."

Comments here are so predictable

which ones? The "Samsung steals from Apple" comments or the "I feel the urge to point out how stupid your comment is" comments? :D

But I agree, I knew exactly what to expect here when reading the article on the first page. Copy and Paste on all sides....

Frankly, if I was serious about exuding quality in my brand I would get the Hell away from Best Buy as fast a possible. If I were Apple I would pull out. What a miserable puss pocket of a store Best Buy is.

Considering Samsung has been around since 1938, I'm sure they've had stores for a long time. I've seen Samsung booths like that inside other stores for years, just because Best Buy are having them now they have to be copying?

Even if they did so what? You're complaining that they're having a store? Is Apple the only company allowed to have them?

common sense is not allowed on this forum! now go back to worshiping your apple products and the fanboi masses will forgive you
:p

Many people say stupid stuff on the internet, however, not a stupid as me. Most people who are stupid on the internet are just copying me. I was the first stupid person with a computer and an internet connection.

IF ANYONE ELSE SAYS SOMETHING STUPID, THEY ARE JUST COPYING ME. I WILL TAKE THEM TO COURT, I HAVE A PATENT ON INTERNET STUPDITY, TYPING IN ALL CAPS ANDD BAD SPELLING!! ILL SUE!!!!!

Has Samsung had an original idea in their entire existence?

Honestly the same can be said about Apple themselves. You can continue further with the automobile industry too. Apple was always getting hit for infringements in the past yet they complain when others do it, though I would not say anything Samsung or Android has done to be infringement. I'll be sure to panic when I notice my Coke has the same fluid ounce as Pepsi and go ballistic when the caps thread with opposite products. That's just not right. That's stealing. Threaded caps have to be trademarked. This is seriously childish and I'm sick of it.

Wow, 39 upvotes for an unoriginal and rather ignorant comment. Let's see here... article about Samsung idea/product/ad/action is posted, Apple fanatic immediately slams Samsung for copying - regardless of the merit of said idea/product/ad/action. And to boot, this particular poster (camnchar) is too blinded / biased / ignorant to realize that the store-in-a-store concept wasn't even pioneered by Apple. Wonderful

You act as if this is the first time Samsung has copied Apple (or anyone else), or that it's just mere coincidence, or maybe that Samsung is placing a "store within a store" inside Best Buy completely without knowledge of Apple's "store within a store" inside Best Buy that has been present for years.

By itself, in isolation, this is not a big deal. As the latest in a series of blatant copying maneuvers, it's beyond ridiculous. Samsung should just rename itself Applesung and move on.

Im not saying they've never copied Apple before, Im saying Samsung have had stores for decades, they've also had stores with-in stores for longer than Apple, but now that they're doing it in Best Buy too, it's copying because Apple is there too?

Heck in the local tech store here theres a Samsung store-within-a-store, a Sony store-with-in-a-store, a Panasonic-store-with-in-store.

I'm suing you for stealing my shtick.

While I agree that BB is a "miserable puss pocket" of a store, it actually makes sense for Samsung to have a stronger presence there. They are focused not only on users who care about fit, finish, and quality...but also on the masses (ie, the folks that want a smart phone and are OK with paying for less to get what is perceived as an equivalent-quality product). That second group of consumers still go to BB, imo.

Hey if Samsung is getting the sales and popularity, they deserve it.

Suck it up Apple.

This is what competition looks like.

Although I'll probably stay away from Samsung products, this only is good.

Let's flow with your logic, shall we? Android had notification center features before iOS did. Do you think Apple created the iOS notification center in complete isolation without knowing what Android was capable of? Did Apple copy Google then?

also cosmetics and clothing companies have been doing store in (department) store concepts for a long time

Your logic is a classic example of the Tu Quoque fallacy.

I just don't get why Samsung irritates people here so much...

If you tell me: but it affects stocks and you only have 1-2 shares, please don't reply... :)

I prefer my iPhone over any Android... And I am developing both on both platforms and really love objective-c... I should have a stronger opinion on this, but I don't...

I have had Samsung products in the past and liked them. My first cell phone was a Sammy flippy thing...

What irritates me about Samsung is the amount of ink they get on a site called MacRumors. But since what MR cares most about is page views we'll keep getting lots of Samsung ink on the site. Just like anti-Apple tech sites like c|net always make sure to throw the Apple name into their headlines. Gets them more clicks.

What??? Samsung doesnt even have a stand alone store. This makes no sense. Well it makes sense from a business standpoint but nothing else. Like what!? This is like Nokia putting a store inside best buy just dont get it

This post is hilarious.

Apple has stolen so much and you people have the NERVE to bash Samsung for doing it even though they do it less than apple?
