I totally agree, but when all I have seen is Verizon conjecture, rumour and news plastered over the front page of the the site for weeks, it does get a bit tiresome and hard to avoid.....

The same could be said about (at&t) iphone 4 when it leaked, when it announced, when people waited for it, when it hit apple, when it hit Best Buy...the list goes on and on. I didn't care about it but it didn't bother me. This is literally, they exact same scenario, only this time, you don't care about it.

VZ people care, and so do a lot of AT&T people. It is a big deal, at the moment. A month or two from now this won't be an issue.

Do I really need to give you the play by play of what happened in this one page thread?

A couple of people were stating that this was a Verizon rumor, when it's not a rumor. It's news. I'm not saying anything about what kind of content MacRumors posts, I'm simply pointing out that this isn't a rumor.

I reread your original post. I stand corrected. I thout you were spouting off about the "sick of hearing about VZ" stuff.

My apologies

I swear I'll shoot myself in the head...
if I see more consecutive Verizon/iOS/iPhone/iPad news stories.

I'm sure it is frustrating to someone who isn't going to be affected by the news. (I am a Verizon customer, so I love reading up about my soon-to-be iPhone). But let's be honest. This site reports on what is in Apple's spotlight at the moment. And right now, that is first and foremost iOS and iOS device related. More specifically, it's the Verizon iPhone this month. As much as numerous members here would never admit it, Apple is no longer focused primarily on Mac.

Another Verizon rumor. Yahooo!!! Wait a minute where's Walmart or Radio Shack?

Not to inconvenience anyone with actual facts or anything, but on the front page alone, I count 7 non-Verizon "rumors" to just 3 Verizon stories.

If you don't like verizon on MR, then I suggest making some news yourself. Maybe you could run over your MacBook Pro with your car and then launch a class action lawsuit against apple for defective hinges? That would probably make the front page. You'd be out one laptop, but you do what you need to do to keep Macrumors pure, right?

Wait. I thought Best Buy was supposed to talk me out of buying a Verizon iPhone and to get an AT&T one. I'm confused :)

line lengths

So now we have to worry about the lines at Best Buy now too? Geez......Don't mess with my Walmart though. Those lines are long enough for anything. haha.

Not sure why this is getting "negative" votes. Just another option for locations from which to purchase. This is bad news because . . . . .?

i wonder what the stock will be like for both verizon, apple & best buy.. Not to mention all the internet orders... I hope I don't have to wait too long before getting my phone.

Funny how just recently Best Buy had issued an internal memo to employees about how to promote the benefits of the AT&T iPhone, while pointing out the shortfalls of the Verizon version.

I remember that same memo. Sounds like they are divided "Twilight" style. Team AT&T vs Team Verizon within BBs ranks??

Apple may still make Macs but they no longer seem to make very much Mac news. This place should be renamed IOSRumors.

Why? There's only about 240 of them in the US, where there are around 1,100 BestBuy stores. And supposedly about 2,200 Verizon stores. A lot of people out there that are not convenient to the first, but are to the latter two.
Because they are not "pure" I guess?

Excuse my ignorance folks, but why is there such a deal in the states about Verizon and iphones, are they giving better deals or have better coverage than AT+T, are there not any other carriers in the states with iphones as well.
I am in Scotland, we have I think 6 carriers for the iphone, I think folk just pick which carrier is going to provide the best coverage in their area as the plan's are all pretty much the same nowadays.

Cheers
John
