Best Buy to Carry Verizon iPhone Beginning February 10th

Excuse my ignorance folks, but why is there such a deal in the states about Verizon and iphones, are they giving better deals or have better coverage than AT+T, are there not any other carriers in the states with iphones as well.
I am in Scotland, we have I think 6 carriers for the iphone,

That's why it's a big deal in the U.S. but not a big deal for you in Scotland. To go from only one provider for years to finally having a choice is big, big news. Not everyone could use AT&T (or wanted to), but did want the iPhone on Verizon. For them, this is the news they've been waiting for, their chance to finally get an iPhone.

Just because that how it is at your Best Buy isn't how it is at all Best Buys.. My Best Buy and other Best buys in the area have people that are in their 20's to 30's and know about what they are sell..

What is with you people who think that iStuff and Macs should only be sold in Apple Stores? If Apple didn't sell their products at different stores, they would not have the money to make all of the great new gadgets you can't get enough of. Either that or you definitely would not be able to afford them, so suck it up and chill out. There is enough Apple for everyone this way, especially because the closest Apple Store for people in my area is 300 miles away (other than the Authorized Reseller by our mall).

I've always bought each of my new iPhones from AT&T and been very happy. I have friends that swear by Best Buy and have also had great service.

I think a lot of it depends on the person you are dealing with. I buy other things at Best Buy and have always been very happy.
