Just got an ipod touch!

:D

Just got a minty 32gb off a friend for $300. After just some shallow researching I have decided to go with the

powersupport anti-glare flim - one of the apple fanboys at the store showed me his touch, and it looked and felt real nice.

with the seidio innocase for the ipod touch - i wanted something with texture, and althought I was in the store to grab the film and the incase slider, I am going to get the innocase for a side by side comparo. I'll post my review and some pics when it comes in.

To those of you with the Incase Slider, do you have any issues with the screen getting scratched up?

I feel like I would need more protection that the Invisible Shield but don't like that the Slider lacks a screen cover. I guess I could purchase both but $50+ for a ipod case seems a bit steep.

woot! just ordered the seidio innocase in black as well as got the incase slider. Will definitely make a dedicated thread for my review.

After some research it seems like the antiglare is a favorite. I am not too keen on getting the invisible skin because

1. sticky feeling <- that is the biggest annoyance of mine
2. orange peel
3. adds thickness (when i want to put the touch in a case - won't fit)
4. lint and fur around the edges

I might consider the IS for the back of the ipod touch to preserve the metal finish. But if it comes between a hardcase and the IS, the hardcase will win.

I am kind of OCD when it comes to cases and skins.

Haven't had a problem with the screen getting scratched, although I almost always put my iPod in an empty pocket.

Great find! This looks like exactly what I was looking for. No messy difficult to slide on Invisible Shield with the screen protection that something like the Slider lacks. Hopefully someone here has some experience with one of these.

Just to let you know, I just placed an order for the Jet Black version (the chrome was too flashy (aka wouldn't be able to use in class with the light reflection)... and thought I would get blinded by heavy reflections of light in the sun (aka unusable) so I'll post pictures up when I get the Jet Black and a short review when I get it.

confirmed:

incase slider scratches the back of your ipod. I had a back film from my powersupport anti glare on the back and while the back was protected (from a long line scratch after i put on the case) the sides of the ipod...sad to say looked like it was scrubbed with steel wool. This is a pristine new ipod touch I am talking about.

Very unfortunate. I will be buffing out the scratches before my seidio inno.case comes in. I am looking forward to trying out that one because of the rubberized outer coating and felt inner lining.

Edit: I should say...i was extremely careful. I take really good care of all my stuff..makes me kind of sad, that now my ipod is less than pristine. Oh well. Despite this, the slider is a nice case because it is snug, but it attracts fingerprints like no other! However it looks very slick and sexy if that is the look you are going for.

The powersupport film is very very nice! I was a little wary, because in my experience, the best films and screen protectors are always 3rd party and not available at the apple store. however, this film had easy application, and re application if you didn't do it right the first time. Easy to spot dust and remove bubbles as well. The film fits perfectly within the slider, and does not lift or touch the sides of the slider at all, if anyone is wondering. It is a matter of alignment.

For those wondering. I really doubt that the IS will fit inside a slider.

inCase has a new slider: just great. After I purchased the glossy.

This new one is ideal for me. Has all the benefits of the original slider, with the added rubberized coating, making it slip and fingerprint proof.

I think I will have to get this one even though the seidio innocase is in the mail.

intoro case

is anyone familiar with intorocase?
my friend just received a new nano case
from this brand, but i would like to know if anyone tried the novo series for the touch?
please help me,im really want to get something different for my ipod

Does anyone have experience with the iPod touch Retro T2 Reflect Chrome Case?

http://www.ivyskin.com/detail.php?proid=58

I have the Case-Mate Naked case, very similar in clear polycarbonate, sucks!
Shows every scratch/thumbprint. Got it as a pre- production test, $10,and I am shopping for another case, to compliment my original Case-Mate which I love I would NOT go for your ivyskin.

Blue/Black iSkin with a front Invisible Shield

I have owned quite a few cases.... I've had the Griffin Reflect, I've had the Otterbox Defender, and this iSkin.

They are pretty good.... But I like the iSkin for its added color it gets from the case, yet the iPod Touch still stays skinny! :p

Griffin REFLECT

The Griffin Reflect is by far the best case ever....It has a 'rubberrish' back so that it won't slip out of your hand, but it had a hard front surface. If you get it... it comes with screen protectors which work PERFECT... so, anyways, I HIGHLY RECOMEND THE GRIFFIN Reflect..
