hi guys, I'm tired of hiding away my iPhone in a case, and since I've gotten my hands on the new XS gold option is really like to try it on with a clear case...

Since apple doesn't sell any "approved" clear cases - yes I've seen the otterbox traction, but not to fond of the colour options (in the frame)....I could really use a good piece of advice...will any cheap amazon clear case do? A lot of them look identical in my little research study...

I'm looking for a clear case, preferably without the micro dotting tech, slim and lightweight...any suggestions?

In the end I'll probably use the PitakaMag case Ive used on earlier models...but wouldn't it be nice to try a clear case that works :)

I always buy clear cases - usually Spigen ones, as I like the way they cover the top and bottom edges of the phone, whereas other cases do not. However after a couple of months they always start to yellow, making the handset look dirty!
I may try a Totallee clear case this time.....

I have the same issue. The one I bought for my XS Max is way thicker than the one I had on my 8. Had this problem when I bought one for a Pixel 2 XL I had for a while, but thought it was a fluke. Totallee is looking like a good option.

Hands down the Caudabe Lucid Clear, which a lot of people around here seem to like. Thick enough to be protective, thin enough to not be bulky. Also doesn't seem to yellow over time.

But does it have a protective front lip for drop protection?

what’s the difference between the Spigen Liquid Crystal and the ultra hybrid?

I think Liquid Crystal is a soft case while ultra hybrid is hard at the back (to protect against drops)and soft on the sides.

The ultra hybrid provides better protection.

I currently use Spigen cases although not the clear ones at the moment. I will be ordering a Spigen clear case very soon for my wife. They don't add any bulk to the phone and I have had no issues with breakage on the very few times I have dropped my phone. The Spigen cases are very reasonably priced.

I started out using Otterbox but the bulk they add to the phone was unacceptable and they are pricey.

Agree. Had one on my X for a year. Never yellowed and held up well. Got one ordered for my Max arriving this week. Highly recommend.

Also would highly recommend totallee ultra-thin case. It's awesome!
Great case. Absolutely no protection from drops. I use sparingly. Love the look, grip and thin-nest.

edit: nevermind, the one on mine actually isn't caudabe. That's odd, idk why I got rid of it :s Must've been drunk me.

For the Caudabe Lucid Clear, is that a hard shell case or is it flexible? And does it provide any grip or is it slick?

Would you say the Caudabe has more protection from drops? Does it have any lip protection?

if you're going to buy from cadaube, totallee, or peel. Make sure you add it to cart, add your email, click next to shipping method so they have your email address on file. They will eventually send you coupons to complete your purchase. so far i got the following:

totallee: free shipping email, 20% off email, 25% off email.. and finally 70% off email.
Peel: 10% off email
Caudabe: none yet

I got all those emails by doing that but none of them worked for me, I’m thinking it’s because I’m in Canada. Just said I didn’t meet the requirements to use any of them. Sigh.

that's weird, i'm from canada and it worked for me. i didn't buy it though because it was still hella expensive with our currency rate lol.

Yeah, I’m not sure why. I just buy them with my Amazon Prime. Cheaper then their website with having to pay for shipping....

I say get a good case with max protection because the phone is $1400 and I case your phone does drop in the first few weeks, you will not be disappointed.

Later after a couple of months when your phone is no longer brand new start to look for options to make the phone look slim and different.

It is no longer the older days when we used to freely use the phone without a case.

With $1400 we used to buy 2 phones in the past.

Today it is just $1400 (spare change). People just buy the iPhone like it is nothing.
