I'm waiting for an application that runs on iPad, iPhone and Mac. I'm tired of having different mail applications for different devices.
Persona Mail is one that is coming for all platforms - iPad version is in Beta testing as we speak.

Meanwhile, I'm spending a fortune going through different email apps. Trouble is I have gmail, icloud and personal website email addresses. The ones for my website require POP access - not IMAP. Not many mail apps have POP support.

two column view in postbox

With the removal of the ability to only view your e-mail online, I need to replace Apple Mail.

I have two gmail accounts (one free one for business). Any suggestions? I tried postbox but I didn't like how the layout was 3 columns instead of 2 columns with the message list above and the message body below and the left column has the accounts. (If that makes sense).

Any suggestions? Thanks

You can change the layout if you don't like three columns - just go to view>layout and try the different styles until you find one you like.

For me Postbox is answer to everything Mail isn't

Best Mail.app alternative?

I'm done with Mail. The latest release (included in Mavericks) is so awful that I won't spend more time specifying how crappy this thing is.

Anyway. What's the best option out there? I need to manage an iCloud and Gmail account.

Thunderbird is Go.

It's a full featured and free mail client and with calendar and Google add-ons you can sync your calendars across devices and other Mac computers or any client that sync's to Google Calendar.

It will do for me until Microsoft does the right thing and updates Outlook to allow sync'ing with other calendars.

Best Mail Client

Hi,

I am having macbook pro, iphone 5s and ipad. I have got outlook for mac installed on my pc and use reminders for my work. The outlook doesn't have spell check. sometimes the auto reminders don't pop up and need to ensure that it gets synched with everything. Can you please let me know what is the best solution as I am really annoyed and frustrated?

Your help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Does Airmail do anything different than mac mail does? Or just 'better'?

I switched from reading my work e-mail with Mail to reading it with Airmail, because Airmail can be configured not to automatically download and store all messages and their attachments. I wanted to keep my local work mail storage to a minimum.

If it's IMAP doesn't it stay on the server, and when you delete it it's only in the webmail trash and in your 'trash' in mac mail for like 30 days anyways? (Even still I think it's showing you what's on the server and didn't actually download it/store it unless you put it "on my mac"
