1)You can get a bigger sized battery for that price.
2)done people have android devices or multiple devices that do not have the lightning connector.
3) the ones you recommended do not look case friendly.

Quick question about AC adapters. I just received my Astro2, and was wondering what AC adapter to use.

On the Astro is has Input 5v/1.2A

I have 2 AC adapters at home, One from my Plantronics Bluetooth headset. It is 5v/350 mA, the other is from my Nook Tablet, that one is 5v/1.9A

Can either or both of these be used to charge my Astro?

If not, what AC adapter does anyone suggest?

Use the book one. More powerful and it will charge at max speed. The 350mah wall charger will take over 48hr to charge from dead. That's a long time. Think if it this way. 1 amp= 1000mah, that's 1000mah that is being put into the battery per hour. Then 1000 x 9= 9000. It will take 9 hr for the battery to charge at 1 amp. Get it? I have about 10 wall chargers from reviewing:)

Thank you for that explanation. I was using the 5v/350 mA and was wondering why it was taking so long to charge the unit. I will use the Nook one from now on.

Yes it is the same as the 12000mah version. The battery is very high quality. You made great choice! Your welcome. Enjoy your battery:)

Hi Zmanbaseball2, since you know much about external batteries i need advice, I am about to purchase Anker 2nd generation 12000 however I have one question,
I barely go to place where I will need such battery ( probably twice a
year) so I am looking to use it years ahead to appreciate its value,
in my case will it last me that long without decreasing its live span?
I mean does it have time frame before it goes bad or it all depend on
my usage? Thanks

The battery gets about 500 full. The battery dies slowly and will most likely be dead if sitting for 6 months without use. That will count as 1 of the 500 charges of the battery. I recommend recharging it every few months. Answer your question?

This battery?

I just purchased this New Trent one yesterday before seeing this post. I haven't seen anyone mention more than the name of this brand or specific device on here. I went mainly by reviews and looking at my needs.

Any opinions on it? I'm kinda feeling like it was a bad choice, only bc I haven't heard of any other users having it (just Amazon reviews)... the biggest draw for me was the built-in USB for charging... I would like to carry only this device + a lightning cable.

Yes this exact battery, thanks a lot for valuable feedback, I think I am getting one unless there is more reliable compact recommended.

Anker, in my opinion, is the best company for external battery packs and wall/ car chargers ect. I think the one I said is the best one. I have that one and it is my favorite of the 25 or so I have.

What would be your suggestion for a battery phone case for the iphone 5s? Looking for something that about doubles the battery power of the phone.

Thanks!
