What is really the best case to buy? I bought 3 of them right now (the griffin one, apple bumper and the switcheasy) and all of them are disliked in some way on this board.

A lot of people have posted that using a black magic marker around the edge of the lens and flash has solved the issue.

If you use the forum search feature you will be able to find them.

For me, the bumper is the best. I like it's minimal look and the fact it doesn't cover up the great looking back panel.

I know about the marker DIY fix but it seems tacky, esp on clear or translucent cases.

I guess another reason apple made the bumper. But I don't feel like the bumper will protect the way many cases will.

i just got the Belkin - Grip Vue case from best buy and i love it..its like plastic and rubber mixed....its awesome :D

I also got the belkin grip vue, clear. I have had the same case for my iPad since launch and have been very happy with it...

just to throw in my $0.02 here... i had imagined that a Bumper along with a front and back Zagg would have provided me some drop protection. i mean i have glass that's used in helicopter windshields along with a layer of military grade material that's used to protect the leading edge of helicopter blades over that helicopter windshield glass. on top of all of that (errr... around it) i have a plastic and rubber "shock absorber." did this help me with a three foot fall while i was exiting my car in a parking lot? no! basically the entire back glass shattered. i got lucky and convinced Apple to replace it based on what i had on the thing for protection, but i've obviously used up my freebie in terms of warranty exceptions.

i myself am now shopping for a better full back protector because even though what i had would have been my ideal scenario, it absolutely won't do because a three foot fall can happen at any time, anywhere.

I just got the "Feather" by Incipio and I'm pretty happy with it. Slim, low profile with a matte finish for a little grip. And doesn't wrap around to the front. Exactly what I wanted.

I bought a purple case from HandHeldItems and it's actually pretty awesome. Snug fit and doesn't add unnecessary bulk. It was only $6.99.

He broke the iPod touch

tech21's iband, never used them but interested as I just found out about them recently.

that video is pretty convincing, and i hope they make a band for the iphone 4, they look just like a bumper

I have heard that they are a bit bulky, but with a 24% thinner phone and the fact that people are breaking this phone from 3 ft up, im not in the mood for taking chances

I'm waiting for white, hopefully by then they have a case out

LOL - Watch the video more closely. When he throws the iTouch against the wall the home button no longer works. Great demo!

Recently I bought candyshell Iphone 4 case which comes with one year warranty if any problem occurs to it. This case fits perfectly on my iphone as well as it is quite protective too. It is made up of soft material and is almost affordable by every person.

So far I have eight iPhone 4 cases. 3 more coming this week.

Good Cases #

1. Incipio Feather
2. $2 Ebay TPU case
3. Switcheasy Color

:)

Got my black, soft touch incase slider the other day, and I love it. Some say it fits too snugly to go on with a screen protector on, that wasn't my experience, I have a Steinhill Oleophobic on there, and the incase fits perfectly with it.

I have tried a lot of cases for the prior iphones, and I always came back to the soft touch incase sliders, they are well made, sleek, offer decent looks, with a pretty good amount of protection. And the new one for the IP4 seems the best made yet.

I honestly think if you're looking for a well made, protective case with a sleek design, the incase slider is a good choice.

so you are saying, if i get incase + SGP olop protector, it will fit 100%? no bubbles or anything?

good job in reviving an old A$$ thread.

Zombie thread LOL!

I am using a Switcheasy Vulcan. Great tight case, but unfortunately does not show skins as it is translucent.

I am looking for a gelaskin compatible case that is thin and will show off the decals.
