There was a day not long ago when we thought a thread like this would never exist. Today is a great day!

Yeah that would be great, also the option to resize the keyboard.

I said it before. But these keyboards work well on my 5s. But i think they were optimized to work on a 6 or 6 plus. Or at least i think that is how i think they visualized it. Not necessarily someone using it on a smaller screen like the 5 or 5s. But overall i am impressed on how it works.

SwiftKey is alright but i remember it being better when I used it ages ago on Android. Maybe I just don't remember that we'll and it's always been like this. Something feels off...

Swift key keeps telling me I need to enable full access but I did as instructed. Even rebooted to see if that changed.

I am not sure I can put in the effort to let another keyboard program learn how I type. It was a horrible mess testing it and I have taught ios over a long period of time. Not sure I am up for the amount of re typing I would need to do just because I clearly don't hit the right keys with my fingers

Kinda surprised that TouchPal doesn't have a single vote. The swiping seems just as fluid as SwiftKey, and it adds the shortcuts on the buttons, which is nice (especially if you just need to type 1-2 numbers in a sentence).

I installed it earlier to test, but never got around to it. After seeing your post, I deleted the app. I don't want that kind of crap on my Apple device.

Thanks for the heads up.

As far as I know, Apple is still very restrictive with their conditions for what a keyboard can and cannot do, and SwiftKey only asks for that extra bit of access so that it can link with your Facebook, Twitter, Google+ feeds etc. to offer better predictive text.

The company has been around for a while and is quite reputable, and I'm fairly certain that iOS even reverts to the stock keyboard when entering sensitive information like passwords or credit card numbers.

That being said, I'm a bit surprised that SwiftKey is leading by so much in the poll. Am I the only one having a bad experience with swiping words on it? It almost never seems to get the word correct for me...

I don't need a third party app logging me into other accounts to learn how i type. If it can't do that outside of having to log into such places, I don't need the app. Not everyone on the internet is into Facebook, Google+ on a regular basis.

You don't need to log into Facebook or Google + to use SwiftKey. The social networking logins is only if you're using the cloud.

I preferred swiftkey on android and now prefer it on ios. I wish it had all the themes the android version does though.

I was disappointed with SwiftKey because it did not have the theme that I want, which is the split keyboard theme. Also, I'm using an iPad Mini. It seems that these first versions of SwiftKey and Swype for iOS did not include any split keyboard layouts that I want. I'm sticking with the stock iOS keyboard on my iPad Mini because it has a split keyboard layout.

I'm expecting that some time in the future, there will be third party keyboards that are better suited for the iPad Mini.

One thing I do like about SwiftKey is the cloud feature is included. As I have SwiftKey on my Android device and it has learned my typing style, that information is available for the iOS version. I won't have to wait for it to relearn my typing style.

Am I the only person who doesn't like the predictive text features? I would much rather not have it on screen and use that real estate to view more messages on the thread.

Best Keyboard?

Ignoring the whole privacy thingAfter trying both swift key and Swype,i much prefer Swype, the predictive has been spot on for me and I'd there is a word that had been incorrectly predicted the one touch delete is a dream.+1 for Swype

Seems to be the choice of the many to as it's the no 1 paid app

I use swift key, and when I try to write a review, the whole screen is white, so I can't see what I'm typing. When I switch to the apple keyboard, I'm able to see the review box.

You don't need to log into Facebook or Google + to use SwiftKey. The social networking logins is only if you're using the cloud.

The other part of the issue is that SwiftKey has apparently tied their Flow feature ("swiping") behind Full Access for whatever reason. It's unfortunate.

Give Path Input a try. It is a rocking keyboard, in my opinion. I think it may still be on sale (free) right now. Normally, it is $3.99 for iPad (I think). iphone is $2.

I'm also a user of 'Path Input Pro' and it is amazingly great in swyping on iOS7 on my iPhone 4S. I'm waiting for the iOS8 update as well so this keyboard becomes a iOS8 keyboard throughout the whole iOS system.
It's the only swype app that supports Dutch untill now.

The link and price you mentioned isn't correct. It should be:
iPhone (1,99 dollar untill today - normally 3,99 dollar) | iPad (3,99 dollar)

It definitely deserves to be in the poll (when available for iOS8).
