Normally I purchase my electronics from Costco as they have a 90 day no questions asked return policy and will a lot of the times exchange after that. It doesn't look as if they will have the new ipad pro at launch so i am wondering if there are other retailers that offer good return policies like costco that might have the new ipad at or soon after the launch?

When does holiday return period start for Apple?

Mind, I got a Pro 12.9 last year. The honeymoon period lasted 6 months, I think. :p

Last year it started on 11/15.

I'm also considering Costco since it has 90-day return period for electronics. But they haven't listed any new Pro models yet.

It seems to me that Costco doesn’t get the new iPads right away, but I might be wrong. Apple started the holiday return period last year on 11/15 as you stated, and you had until 1/7 or 1/8 to return.

I will know within a couple days if i want to keep it or not. However with costco its an unconditional policy. So basically free accidental insurance for 90 days, plus membership points etc.

Costco just listed the new pros for pre order..... And $50 off retail. Glad I waited.

Pre Order online might be pushed back, but I would say if you go in store the day of release you should be able to get it. Best Buy has a pretty good return policy now that the holiday policy is in effect.

Are the preorders online? Can't find them.
I logged in and saw both 11 and 12.9 listed in various colors and storage capacities. Unfortunately, wifi only and I’m considering LTE this time so they weren’t an option for me.

Thank you for this! I was going to wait and see what I could find on launch day but I'll wait until 11/12 and save $50 :) I did splurge on 1-2 day shipping since you had to pay shipping either way. Now, to figure out how to get a Pencil here before Nov 27th :/

YOU HAVE TO WATCH BESTBUY for returns...... they use the retail equation and track your returns. if you hit their limit no matter what they wont take the product back. even if its NIB. f**ked up but true.

That’s why I stick with Costco. 89 days later and your three year old throws it I. The bath and your getting a brand new one. Plus membership points etc.

90 days and it’s unconditional. Scratch it, break it etc. that’s all the time, not just the holidays. I’ve even returned stuff for store credit after the 90 days. Never an apple product but electronics items none the less.

I didn't know Apple has a holidays return policy, is this worldwide?

I spoke with Apple Store Singapore just now and heard only about the 14 day policy, am now wondering if I need to ask specifically for this or not

Thanks for the details, I'll check with them when I can but in the mean time, do you (or anyone here) have a URL to Apple's website pointing out this policy? Just in case I need to show them e.t.c.

Note, I don't believe this is worldwide.

In the US, it's pretty standard for retailers to have extended returns during holidays to account for Christmas gifts, etc, so Apple follows suit. Apple posts the return policy and period on the US website.
