BSE is THE best. I made the mistake of trying a BodyGuardz once on a MacBook and peeled it to go with BSE. Used on my original iPhone, 3G, iPhone 4, 6th Gen. Nano, Aluminum MacBook, iPad 1 and now iPad 2.

Both my iPad 2 and BSE arrived today, but I have not put it on yet.

I just sold my original iPad on eBay in perfect condition with a BSE on it. Looked Brand New.

I am local to Colorado which is nice because I get it the day after it ships and I get to support local, but I didn't know they were Colorado based until after I ordered and rec'd my original iPhone skin.

And they have verified the iPad 2 skin works with the Smart Cover.

Mine came today after shipping on Tuesday.

This is my first BSE product.

I got everything ready and proceeded with the installation about 45 minutes ago. It only took about 10 minutes and I was surprised at how easy it was. I was worried about getting soapy water everywhere, in ports... etc. But barely any water came out. I guess it somewhat absorbs into the skin and then turns into the adhesive :D

Anyway here is the picture. The corners are/were a bit tough and are still not down perfectly, but the BSE FAQ says to wait a little while for some of the solution to evaporate and then to hold them down for 30seconds~ish. Being OCD like I am I will probably hold them down for about 5 minutes each to make sure they stay, lol. But as the back of the iPad2 rounds into corners the way it does, I understand why these are tough.

The cutouts/etc for all the ports, camera, etc are PERFECT.

Let me know if you have any questions!

PS--- the shine in the picture is obviously just the lighting! The skin looks great already.

Awesome! Thanks so much! Does the skin feel rubbery and have the orange peel effect? What was your ratio of soap to water, and did you smother it in the liquid? Thanks!

Get like a 9x13 pyrex glass casserole pan and fill it 1/2 full and add about equivalent of a quarter size of dish soap. You will need to hold the corners down after they have evaporated for about 5 minutes each. But I don't expect it is as much work as on the old iPhone 3G/3GS with the skin coming around the chrome bezel.

No orange stickiness, tend to be smooth with enough grip to not drop it, unlike some of the Zagg IS pics you see.

When I did my iPad 1 it looked good with some marks and a couple little bubbles. I thought I had creased the skin from the squeegee card I used. It had marks all over it.

The next day it was FLAWLESS. Looked absoperfect. And yes their cutouts line up so great. Second to none.

I can't right now but I will get pics up of my iPad 1 and the new one when it is done. Not sure if I will skin it tonight or if I might have to wait another day to get to it.

It feels slightly rubbery, I guess, but is pretty dang smooth. Great grip. Very little orange peel effect. Nothing like a ZAGG or similar crap.

I peeled the skin off (carefully, as you don't want to stretch any of the corners or edges) and then used a spraybottle and coated the whole thing (until I could see no dryness at all). Then I held it over a towel and let it drip until the dripping stopped. Then I applied it.

I used a 5 oz. spraybottle (little one) with 1/4 teaspoon of baby shampoo. It worked great.

Also, the corners turned out GREAT. Waited an hour, came back and barely pushed on them and they seemed to know exactly where to go

Thanks for the pics and input! Can we get a close up shot on the corners? I want to see the method they used and how it differs from Ghost Armor, Phantomskinz, etc.

Can anyone give some more details on the installation process? I'm really worried Im gonna screw this up.

Did you just spray everything with the solution and apply? Didn't it take a whole and was it a hassle?

I am worried about installation too. I tried to put a Zagg on my iPad 1 and I don't think I used enough solution. I think I stretched it a little too. What I've heard on these applications is to use a lot of solution and put it on your hands too like the video showed.

But I don't want to use too much solution all the ports very exposed basically on the back.

I'd say better. Cheaper, of equal if not better quality, and the application process is way simpler (no fluid, you just dunk it in soap and water) :)

The Zagg fluid is soap and water. Dunking easier ? How?, you have to prepare the solution, have something bug enough ... not sure that is easier.

Make sure to hold down the Lock Switch and slide the power off slider on screen so that the iPad is completely turned off.

Then wait 12-24 hours before turning it back on.

First, not that much water will get anywhere port-wise, and second, any water will evaporate while the skin is drying. If you do it at 8 or 9 pm, it is safe to turn on the next morning.

I have put BSEs on my iPhone, iPhone 3G, a few friends 3Gs, my iPhone 4, my MacBook, my 6th gen. Nano, and my original iPad.

You also definitely want to get your fingers very wet with the solution before peeling the skin so you don't get prints on the sticky side.

IMO, the only issue is having something large enough to dunk it in. From experience dunking is better than spraying. With that said, even Phantomskinz recommends spraying for the iPad (at least they did for the first one) due to size, but with their phones, their instructions are to dunk.

If you have a container large enough to dunk, I say dunk, but spraying is adequate as well.

Pie plate, cookie pan, serving platter, or worst case use a sink or bathtub. Anyone without at least a sink might want to rethink their need for an ipad2! :D

For whoever asked about the corner, here it is:

They are basically circular "hooks", for lack of a better term. I think you can see it pretty well in that picture.

Skin looks PERFECT this morning, 12 hours later. There were some small (size of a quarter) water spots that didn't show up until about 2 hours after installation, but by this morning they were all gone. It looks amazing and the corners turned out perfectly.

I decided just to give it the full 24-hour that BSE suggests, though, so I'll play with it once I get home from work :)

It's hard to tell from the picture what the corners look like. Is there a slit to allow it to sit properly or is the skin curved there. Looks great by the way.

I guess you were posting at the same time as me. Thanks for the pic.
