Do I really need to leave my phone off for 24 hours after I install this? Really? No, really?

Well it really depends. If your iPhone is really wet, I'd wait that 24 hrs. Otherwise it should dry up fairly quickly within a couple of hours.

BSE obviously want customers to wait 24hrs to remove any risk of damaging the phone but it's really your choice.

Personally, I've used BSE products 3 times and I installed them just before going to bed, so when I wake up in the morning, it's dry and ready for the day :)

Messed up pics w/ flash

I just installed my full body bse. They didn't have cut outs for the flash and as a result, the pics were washed out. I have sent bse like 3 emails regarding this issue and I have not gotten a reply. Since I ordered 2 full bodies, I will hold off on installing the one for my girlfriends phone just in case they want me to return it for the updated skins with flash cut out.

I thought I read on Facebook yesterday that anything that was ordered from the 30th forward will have the cutout for the flash. I hope I read that correctly because that was one of the reasons I decided to order from them.

Also, since this will be my first ever experience with a skin of any type, what do you recommend to use as a "squeege"? will just a plain credit card work or should i look for something softer to use?

I used a credit card for my 3GS, the 4 should be a piece of cake!

Just contacted them about sending me out a new back piece as mine was sent out on the 28th.

I Love BSE, the products and price are great.

I've used BSE twice for my phones a couple years ago. They are inexpensive but the problem is the edges seem to pick up dirt, yellow and lift over time (4-6 months). Doesn't zagg and other companies with more expensive skins offer lifetime replacements? I didn't keep those phones for that long and I never replaced the skins but it seems like if you were to keep the same device for 2 years or so, it may pay off to buy a skin with lifetime replacements.

Just be aware of the "shipping and handling charges" on the replacement. You have to peel off your old skin and send it back in or they charge you full price too.

These skins are great

Do not hesitate to buy them. i preorderd and got 2 sets (one for mine, one for wife's) for $12. Great value. The wet method makes to super easy and foolproof to install and it looks great after a day or two of curing.

one caveat

about zagg... i haven't heard much good about they're customer service, plus they charge about $5 or so to ship out your new skin, which is about what BSE charges for a full set (well, about what i paid). they also pick up dirt, yellow, and peel. and have much more of an orange peel effect.

Just ordered a body only to try. Matching it with ebay screen protector I ordered. Can't wait to get it on my phone. I'm getting tired of using the Griffin Reveal already because it's not easy to get out of pockets and makes phone bulky. I like seeing the phone's body. :)

I didn't mean zagg specificially. I meant the similar ones like it ie; phantom skinz, wrapsol, bodyguardz, ghost armor, etc... The $20 range with lifetime replacements. I know at least one of them doesn't charge for a replacement?

Used bestskinsever on G1 iphone and then switched to ZAGG for the 3G.
Going back to bestskinsever for the iphone 4.

got mine today. It doesn't have a cutout for the front camera or rear flash. I'm waiting on their reply.

Ordered on June 24, received on July 2. Not cut out for the flash. I emailed on Wednesday and Friday with no reply.

Quick Question... Considering its a wet install, what happens if you have to take the skins off? is it easy? does it leave any residue?

The skins pull off easily and leave behind a nice shiny brand-new appearing phone. Can't go wrong.

I ordered 2 of these right from the get go. Don't expect it to last longer than 6 months. Don't fret about that either, especially since they are so inexpensive. Just replace it when it gets worn.
