The two applications basically have the same features, but they are just organized very differently. I often hear "uTorrent does this, but Transmission doesn't" or "Transmission does these things (a), (b), and (c) that uTorrent can't" Nine times out of ten both statements are wrong. In fact I haven't found a feature the two don't share.
I doubt that very much. That's not really how torrents work.
i used to use transmission but got really pissed that it would hang when quitting. switched to utorrent and havent looked back.
Vuze was perfect for me, but now it's got odd redraw issues. I still stand by it since it's very customisable. Plus it has stats![]()

That wasn't it hanging (finally figured out what people were bitching about) that's transmission writing the last blocks it downloaded and caching what parts of the files have been downloaded. It's really smart and helps it start downloading faster when it's launched again.
lol ANY torrent program will do that - given the seedness of the file is adequeteI love uTorrent, its out of Beta and I usually down at top ISP speed with a well seeded file.
you are not allowed to talk about torrenting on this website. please direct your questions to another site - or search google.
Coooooooooool...no one cares.
I have used Vuze and Transmission but they take forever to download anything for me, so I stick with LimeWire for almost everything.
