I love µTorrent and just 2 days ago it was updated to the first official stable version. Go give it a try ;)

I used Azureus for a long time and while it was resource hungry and slow, it worked. Then came the transformation to Vuze. It has gotten increasingly bloated with things I have have absolutely no use for and stability has suffered as well (especially with the last two updates).

I've had it and will give uTorrent a shot.

Transmission does hang and have to be force closed from time to time. It hangs just like the last version of VLC 64-bit hangs. There's nothing wrong with my setup but something wrong with you what you call lies and misinformation. It apparently means truth in your world.

It doesn't hang or force close for me. Or for any of the other people recommending it. I think that rather than attacking an app you should admit there there may be a problem with your setup and look at fixing the problem. Or don't use Transmission. No need to bash apps or other members.

+1 vote for Transmission

On Windows I always used uTorrent cuz vuze is resource hog. Java is the wort platform to build apps for.

Anyway I switched to uTorrent for mac as well BUT there is one annoying bug, when u quit app it takes about 30 seconds to quit.

You're right, my frustrations with Vuze was probably due to the fact that it was Java based. Why would anyone want to build apps based on Java? I understand using Java helps make porting to other platforms much simpler, but, in my opinion, the trade-offs are really not worth it. What good is it if your app is on every platform known to man if no one wants to run it?

i thought we couldn't talk about torrents?

anyway, i use transmission. tried vuze and dumped it after a couple of days.
