Best Twitter App

Tweetlist is without a doubt the best client in my opinion. It has the clean look of "Echofon" and "Twitter for iPhone", but is much more powerful. The main reason I chose it over "Tweetbot" is for the landscape support since I have the Nuu Minikey case.

Twitter for iPhone definitely lacks some features that Tweetbot has, but it has a MUCH cleaner UI and seems like it belongs on the iPhone. To me, the better UI with 90% of the features works better for me. I feel like many people on here shy away from Twitter for iPhone because it's the "standard" iPhone Twitter app and it doesn't seem "cool" enough. Not all, but some - I'm sure.

used to think the same thing until i gave tweetbot another chance - now its my only client. the ui is just simply awesome, along with the nice sounding effects.

Thanks for the reply. I've done that before but there are some tweets that I don't want on FB. Twittelator Pro has an FB icon that u can press to select which tweets u want on FB that's why I was asking. Thanks again!

I used Echofon a lot but it's really slow loading up and keeps crashing for me now :\ so I just use the web browser mobile site.
 
I've tried and in some cases purchased them all and for me at least, Twitterific works best. The TweetMarker feature is awesome; TweetMarker is a web service for setting and getting the "last read" tweet for a given Twitter user. It can be used to sync the reading position between multiple Twitter clients and platforms. I can go from my iphone and read some tweets, exit the app, (or not), then go to my ipad or PC , launch Twitterific and it picks up in the exact same spot I left off. Refresh button is a plus. Very easy to retweet or retweet with comment.

Twitteriffic, tweetbot, and tweetings All support this.
 
Started with the official app...then I went to Echofon, Tweetlogix, Twitterrific, Tweetdeck but eventually made my way back to the official app.

Each of them had their pros and cons, but there's something about Twitter for iPhone that I love. Maybe it's the simplistic, yet effective interface that I'm drawn to. Definitely not the most feature rich app though...
 
IMO there are quite a few Twitter clients well ahead of Tweetbot. I agree with the previous poster that Tweetbot reminds me of an Android app. I'll take ait a step further and say I see Tweetbot as the "kiddie" Twitter client. I guarantee if Tweetbot had not gotten the build up from Tapbots on their blog and was the same exact app by another developer, it wouldn't have near the recognition. While Tweetbot does have push, it is missing inline photos, active links, active hashtags, themes and more. The compose screen is missing some features as well. The UI is harder to use with double tapping and triple tapping etc.

A couple of apps I have found much better are Tweetings, Tweetlogix, Echofon and Twittelator. I just don't see the attraction and I am a power user of twitter for my job and social life.

Or install 'Selective Tweets' on Facebook, then you can add #fb at the end of your tweet for it to be posted on Facebook as well as Twitter.

This is a good option if you dont want EVERY tweet to be posted on Facebook.
 
Is there a Twitter app that will auto-update/refresh my timeline and notify me of new tweets with badges? I loved the auto-refresh of the Twitter for BlackBerry when I had my 9700. I find myself not using Twitter as much anymore because I have go into the app everytime I want to refresh the timeline because it doesn't check for new tweets by itself.

Echofon Pro auto-updates the timeline and pushes alerts when your mentioned in a tweet.

Twitter for iPhone does this as well. It's the same app you had on your BB except it's for the iPhone instead.
