Wonder of mine will have the Verizon sim installed alteady? They asked for my Verizon account, phone # and accounts pin when I pre ordered. Still no update, still stuck on 12/15 lol

Looks like I won't get mine until next week but I'm currently undecided with it. I didn't like the silver but wasn't impressed by the space gray all that much either.
Silver shows smudges more than what I would've liked while sg looks like a dark brown doo doo color that isn't true black. My space gray SE looks way better than either, matte finish, and more futuristic. I would rather buy EIGHT SEs in Best Buy than one X.
I do like the gesture control and how fluid the animations are. Feels very polished for a new revamp. The X is not a bad phone by any means but design didn't impress me and feel this is laying the foundation stuff. Think vanilla ice cream without another different scoop and no sprinkles.
I could either cancel Verizon again and not get the X at all but waste $60 for nothing, go Pixel 2 XL (panda) with Verizon, or not get anything at all. Get a Switch instead!
For folks waiting for it, stay positive, remain patient, and keep this frame of mind...

Just canceled my Verizon account (again). One day, never activated, and will spend about $33 (activation fee & prorated charge).
I really, really wanted the X until I finally saw both colors today in person. My glass-rearing hate came out today. Both are smudge galores and nothing really wowed me except the gesture swipes. Something I have used on Android since 2013 with an app called All-One-Gesture and Nova Launcher Prime.
Going to cancel my silver X pre-order from Best Buy. Just seeing them both, it's just NOT for me. My right thumb can't reach the left corner of the left ear. I'm cool with the SE as my daily driver while my LGs chillax at home for multimedia stuff. I still love the fluidity of iOS.
Enjoy the X. I will avoid it like my ex.

Well, I was tired of waiting for updates from Best Buy so I went to Apple.com to check availabity. Turns out they have the model I want at my local store for pick up today. Pretty cool. Canceling my BB order (after I pick up at Apple, just to make sure).
Best Buy was a cluster this year-- huge bad press on their 100 scalping fee (which they charge every year but waive with price match but don't now) and screwing up the many folks who pre ordered for in store pickup for nov 3 and didn't get a device.
I ended up just heading over to Apple and buying one and saving the $100 hassle.

Just got my BB email for the second pre-order. I guess they have a ton in stock. The email was actually sent an hour ago but I just saw it now. I assumed it was going to be a week later. It's my own fault for not going for an installment plan in the first place.
I might not go through with it anymore or maybe wait after the horse race results later today. If I lose my bet, then forget it. Today is Nov 4th which is exactly a month before my birthday. Maybe, maybe not. They told me I got 8 days to pick it up.

Yeah I am still waiting on mine. I was the first in line for the pre order at the store too. I was told "they come in daily so it should be here soon" lol
Maybe you local Apple Store has the exact model you're looking for. It's worth a look to get one in your hands today instead of waiting it out.
Return it. Order another one.
Once it’s locked you have to request that the carrier unlock it and they will only do so after certain things have been met.

I would do Apple store pickup but if I use Apple I’m going to get an unlocked a1901. I’d really prefer a a1865 even if it’s locked to AT&T to begin with. At least then I can take it to VZW if I decide to switch or sell it to someone on VZW.
what does it actually say on the phone when you try to put other carrier sim card in?

The preorder I had set to deliver on the 10th arrived today from best buy I picked one up on Friday last week at 2pm by walking right into walmart and out with one within 30 min so this one will be for my daughter as her birthday gift.... her very first not hand-me-down, brand new iphone. She has never lost one and has only minorly cracked a screen on my old one a long time ago before I had installed a tempered glass protector on it but since she has been using hand me down phones for 4 years and taken very good care of them I think she has graduated to getting to be the first owner of one. I've already installed a nice 3d curved full coverage glass and i have 3 wallet cases for her to choose from since I do some reviews on them and sellers are kind enough to send a few at a discount(I find these are way more protective of the entire phone and they have a wrist strap) Cant wait until she gets home today to give it to her!

Best Buy truly isn't price matching the X; I've tried 3 times. I've never had any issues price matching phones, laptops, cameras (even open box) in the past, so I'm genuinely surprised by this. Thank GOD I purchased mine with my Citi Double Cash card.
lol the funniest thing is when you go to a store and you can count the amount of different answers you are given... i went to one and was told 3 different stories from 3 different employees
Right?! I was told by one employee they straight up don't price match Apple products anymore, but I PMed an iPad 2017 to MicroCenter yesterday with no issues whatsoever...
