I updated to B5 and it keeps saying "Updating iCloud settings" and has been for over 2 minutes. Am I over-reacting or should I wait until it's done? I cannot use the phone
Probably just wait... that sometimes takes a little bit
I have a problem with AIRDROP, I'm trying to send just about any file from one iOS Device to another and it finds the other iOS Device and you can select it but it just continues to say "Waiting" and I never receive a notification on my other iOS Device to Accept the Airdropped file.
Anyone able to send file successfully?
Also, maybe this is just me, but on my iPhone 5S and my iPad Air. If i double click the home button and try and close out more than one app at a time I get the app not really deleted. Also, I am getting iCloud photo sharing showing up twice in sharing option for photos and whatnot.
all the people who say "haven't got any battery issues" are full of crap or aren't really power users...beta 4 was horrendous when it came to battery life. it was beyond terrible never experienced something so dreadful

Or people actually have different experiences. It's a complex concept for sure, but it's real.all the people who say "haven't got any battery issues" are full of crap or aren't really power users...beta 4 was horrendous when it came to battery life. it was beyond terrible never experienced something so dreadful
or maybe they dont have every app installed allowed to background refresh..my beta 4 run got 1 day 9 hours standby, 10 hours 8 mins usage, within range of ios 7.1.2. iphone 5. just a regular upgrade too not a fresh install
In all fairness, just because it happened to you doesn't mean that other people are lying or are "full of crap". It's very possible that people don't experience the same issues you do.
Such Drama, with a touch of nastinesswell that's not a power user... anyone who micro manages their app data/battery usage or doesn't have many apps shouldn't really count as a stress tester
----------
Well I have a 64gb iPhone 5S with an excellent standing when it comes to battery cycles. not to mention I have over 100 apps and all of them have background refresh enabled.
you know what could actually give you better battery life than me? a 16gb iPhone 5s with very little apps installed, and some services turned off is that what you have?

Bahahaha. Omg, we literally have the same phone minus the storage capacity and you're talking down to me as if I'm some sub-human. Haha I can't believe you are that high and mighty about 64GB.
For your information, I use a 16GB because I store all my data with iCloud and Dropbox. all of my music is done via Spotify, iTunes radio and iTunes Match which has all my purchased music in iTunes in the Cloud. I don't turn background refresh off on my apps because I'm a power user and I beleive that if I'm limiting my device to conserve energy all the time then what's the point. (Obviously different if I know I'll be away from a charger).
It's insane that you are so high and mighty about literally the same phone but with more storage.
I literally have to do 0 app management with the 16GB. I have about 40-50 apps. Background refresh is enables on all that it can behaving a 16gb doesn't make you inferior as you say, but it forces you to do a lot of app management and obviously install very few apps. as time has advanced most apps start getting bigger in size. Having more apps makes the OS work harder and waste more battery life, i'm not making this up i saw it on an apple official troubleshooting sheet for a genius employee
Also, I'm confused as to when I ever said it was "stellar". I have been beta testing since iOS 5, so I can also provide my own anecdotal experiences. I can say that in terms of battery life, iOS 7 betas were horrible for me. But iOS 8 hasn't been as bad. But that's for me, unlike you, I'm not saying that people that have different experiences than I do with betas are "full of crap".having a 16gb doesn't make you inferior as you say, but it forces you to do a lot of app management and obviously install very few apps. as time has advanced most apps start getting bigger in size. actually to avoid overheating and horrible battery life your only alternative is to turn off iCloud completely, not only photos... i mean everything
