Just when I was beginning to think it was dragging a little and that the finale was going nowhere, the last 10 minutes happened!

Mike and the German.
Kim looking shocked at Jimmy after his plea to the hearing board - and not in a good way - is this the beginning of the end of their relationship?
And - finally - the "official" dawn of Saul.

Can't wait for the next series. I love the acting of this show, and the production. They always have interesting camera angles and shoot scenes in ways that other shows just don't do.

This show is a treat. Witty dialogue and clever social commentary. I loved Mike's comment "how did you expect this to end?" line. We live in a world these days where "not ask permission, apologise later" is the norm and people are surprised there are consequences to actions.

It will be interesting to see what happens to Kim.

The show also does a beautiful job of showcasing the ABQ, Santa Fe, and surrounding NM area.

That's very much a continuation of the "Breaking Bad" style.

This may be a shock, but I read somewhere, did not keep the link, maybe I misunderstood, that this story may not mesh into Breaking Bad exactly as it should. What could that mean? Some kind of an alternate reality? Hope for Jimmy? Which does not matter to me as I bailed on BB. :D

Based on what I've heard from Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, Better Call Saul won't depart from events that were established in the Breaking Bad timeline, though we will (and already have) seen more from characters that had much smaller roles in Breaking Bad. I also expect Walter White and/or Jesse Pinkman make an appearance at some point, but probably not a major one. Evan as the timelines merge, though, there are characters unique to Better Call Saul (Kim and Nacho, for example) who can anchor their own storylines.

True. Breaking Bad always did a great job with cinematography — unusual (but not jarring) camera angles, time lapse sequences, and use of a yellow filter for certain scenes, particularly the ones set in Mexico.

I am one full season behind
Oh my god, this season finale, oh my god. Stay away from reviews and start your binge, this season was SOOOOOO good. They took a tiny part of BB and told the backstory on it. And you would think, uh that must be incredibly boring. But no, it's better than Jimmy/Saul's story at times!
