Air has better battery than 14 Pro because the 14P just had terrible battery life. The sleekness of the Air is broken by the massive camera bump it has and the battery life still isn’t great. It isn’t selling well for many reasons.

Lol I guess I like what the Air wanted to be, but not whatever it is that Apple gave us.
So much for the people saying “Apple waits forever to do something but when it does, it delivers a great product!”
I mean reports all say that the air at minimum sold double what the plus was selling, and that in turn sold double what the mini was selling.
iPhone 15 Pro was the best phone: 6.1, and light. Everything since then was a letdown.
That player already did enter the market, and they flopped.
When the galaxy note took off, Samsung responded by also introducing a galaxy mini series in the mid 2010s. It was discontinued after two versions.
In the early 2020s, Apple responded with an iPhone Mini that was similar in size to the phones they were releasing a decade previous.
It was discontinued after two versions because it reportedly only made up about one percent of iPhone sales.
When Apple finally discontinued the dated iPhone SE design and replaced it with something bigger, it reportedly sold twice as many each quarter, despite costing significantly more.
There is no small phone market disruptor coming. Most you can hope for is that maybe Apple will eventually make an iPhone flip

It might not be marketed as a phone ... but it would have some phone functionality. As the iPhone moves towards its 20th anniversary, there are many people tired of "the same old thing" being larger and larger and heavier and heavier. Most of the time, many people use their phone for brief calls and messages, banking, and for paying for stuff. A super-compact device with limited phone functionality, but also with new (as yet unknown) features. Something truly innovative at the $400-$500 price point, It will probably come out of China, they are the only ones thinking out of the box nowadays.
Looks like Apple has completely written off the group of users that want to use their phones one handed

By the market you clearly mean you. Typical! Apple would not bother making a follow up version if that was the case. But I agree with overpriced! They are ALL highly overpriced.

Maybe there will be an opening for the return of the new mini at 5.6” or 5.8” if the Pro makes to 6.5” or bigger?
Phones are expensive everywhere. But I'm amazed at the huge cost that carriers charge in the US. Here in the EU (and the UK), you can get a premium (e.g. Vodafone, Three) unlimited 5G data, calls and texts for less than US$50 a month. It seems a lot more expensive in the US ... or am I wrong?
Silicon Batteries can last up to 2 days however the life of the battery is shorter that that of lithium ion It’s a trade off

God forbid they ever just reduce the bezels and overall device size and keep the display the same size! Maybe after the iPhone Ultra has been out for a couple years they will revisit the mini, but it will be the size of the iPhone X with its "puny" 5.8" display, lmao.

It’s also the same weight as the 17e (3 grams difference which is completely imperceptible) yet everyone raves about how light the Air is but no one says anything about the weight of the 17e. Personally I think the Air is still too heavy and a smidgen too big.
Extremely small increase in screen sizes. Might have to do with the all screen display and actual viewing area should remain the same. Looking forward to hearing more about the 20th anniversary iPhone.
