What? I love my iPhone. I am just pointing out the little options that I feel are missing, like the OP.
Customers making reasonable requests for added features have added to Apple adding a lot of the requested features to the various IOS updates.
It's not like the majority of people here asking are saying they won't buy an iPhone UNLESS it has a certain feature. People are just pointing out things they'd like to see added.

I'd very much like to have alerts and the phone ringer be separate volume settings. It drives me crazy that it isn't, and I really could use the ringer higher, but then my text/email lower. Almost off.
I just updated to 5 on my 4 yesterday, and finally got my favorite custom text tone on here... Except it is wayyyyy loud. Back to iTunes to try to lower it.
I guess I will go start leaving feedback for it....
ETA: and while we are adding complaints, mine is the stupid chat bubble interface in messages. It's a poor use of space, thankfully you can swipe the keyboard away now, but dang, I knew wasn't going to like it, and I don't. And yes i have submitted feedback on it.

You are within your 30 day return period. I would have told them "If you can't swap it out, then I would like to return it." Once you return it, buy a new one.
