Yep them things people like myself would do before achievements were added to games, not to show of to other people but just to see if i could do it. I do not care if someone else thinks i am imba 1337 at playing a game i play it for the fun and sometimes the sport.
Why would you care if an achievement flashed up on the screen at the end of the game or not?
Why not just set your own goals and be happy for achieving them?
I do not understand the reason for achievements in games, in WoW it is getting rather ridiculous being asked to link an achievement for a easy mode of a instance like Ulduar when i had just ridden in front of the guy asking for group members with the hard mode Protodrake. I don't know about other games but having to dig though all these achievements gets annoying, it also annoys me that if it is not an official achievement i seems to not be worth doing anymore and the same goes if the achievement reaps no reward.
I will keep games as the should be, for fun. If i want to play though Half life 2 or Bioshock with one hand tied behind my back and never taking one hit then if i manage to do that i'll be quite chuffed but i wont be posting a youtube video of my achievement to gloat, whats the bloody point. It is my achievement not anyone else's.
