dunno, I only have XP so I can't test DX10 stuff.

I'm about 3 1/2 - 4 hours in and I'm having trouble playing it anymore. The story is really what is keeping me playing because I'm actually rather bored with the combat. The enemies feel like more of an annoyance than anything and while the plasmids are really cool and all, it just doesn't feel all that satisfying for whatever reason *sigh* I really wanna like this game because it does so much so well but i'm just not as glued to it as I thought i would be after the demo oh well... back to jeanne d'arc

To much of anything is bad. Take a break. I never play games for more than an hour for exactly what you are saying. If you give it a break, your interest starts to build up again.

"but i'm just not as glued to it as I thought i would be"
after how many hours? Hey reality check, buster.

why? 5 hours (as of now) out of a ~20 hour game is at least 25% of the game, thats enough to make a judgment about the game, it's not like it's an RPG where the meat doesn't start until you have been playing for 15 hours, it's a freakin shooter  Reality check :p

at any rate I'm still gonna chug through it since I wanna see what happens if you save all the little sisters from a not so nice fate.

Finished the game last night - all in all, a fantastic game, great plot with intriguing characters. The end does feel a little "quick" but still satisfying. Although I have to wonder if certain choices you make in the game affect how it ends - I think it really must. I'll play it through twice more (at a more sedate pace rather than x hours per night!) once to make better use of my plasmids (I felt I relied too much on my weapons) and to upgrade other weaponary, and the other time to make the other choice you can make in the game... and see how that pans out...

xp or vista

I have a new 24" iMac with the ATI RadeonHD2600 graphics card which is DirectX 10 capable. I want to play bioshock on it with direct x 10, do I have to install vista via bootcamp or can i get away with xp??

thanks

Firingsquad had an article, DX10 has softer shadows, better water effects and better particle effects.

In reality, the graphic difference is quite small, just install whatever you have.
