iPhone Bitesms and iPhone 5s

As a convert from iRealSMS, so far I'm impressed. One bug for me however:

When I launch Quick Compose and begin to enter a name in the To field, it hangs on the first letter I enter. If I wait for a long time, it eventually brings up the relevant contacts and keeps building in the To field. This lag is extreme.

Anyone else on the 5s experiencing this? And yes, I did report it.

If I set up Quick Compose settings under Shortcut to "default to last" I have this issue. If I use another option it is greatly improved. Can someone test this with the default to Last entry?

I also have it set to default to last. I am experiencing no lag on my 5s.

I had this too. Turning off auto show quick reply in both the lock and unlock mode worked 100%

Hmmm...thanks for that. I wonder if I just have too many (thousands) of contacts. I'll have to dig further.

I cannot swipe to dismiss a text message now since the last update. Like the bubble wont go passed the screen.... anyone else have this?

I installed 8.0.11. Where are the settings at, can't seem to find them? My messaging icon changed but that's all I've noticed? I just JB my phone yesterday and I'm new to iOS devices so I might be missing something simple?

In your messaging list pull down the settings are next to the search bar.

I've got a dumb question.

Something that has plagued me ever since jailbreaking my 5S is that group messaging conflicts with iBlacklist.

It is confirmed that the trouble is iBlacklist and interfacing with group messaging, and it doesn't matter whether it's SMS or iMessages.

By any chance is anybody here running both iBlacklist and BiteSMS (Beta) successfully with group messaging?

If it doesn't even work on the stock messages app, I doubt it'll work for biteSMS

Did you contact the dev of iblacklist?
