Does anyone know where the REAL biteSMS strings are stored? I replaced every instance of biteSMS with BiteSMS in the strings file in the English.lproj but nothing changed (yes, I resprung).
I checked what files are downloaded and that appears to be the only string file, unless it'd in the libs but that doesn't make any sense to even have a strings file if that's the case.
EDIT: It's very odd that it doesn't use CFBundleDisplayName like everything else. <.<

Okay, I'll try it. I mean, I feel really bad but I have to get up in the mornings. Last night she woke me up 3 TIMES and its starting to piss me off.
voice.google.com for blacklisting. Just hook it to a Google Voice account and use the block feature. GV has all kinds of other nifty features, too, anyway.
what exactly are you trying to change? did you look in the info.plist file? i changed the CFBundleDisplayName there so it says Messaging and it worked on my homescreen. sounds like you're trying to change every occurance of the word... you really want that capital B don't ya haha
hmm mine is in /var/stash/Applications/biteSMS.app/ .. just three up from the license.txt you mentioned previously...
do you have version 4.98? that's what i'm running

Hands down the best JB app.
I used to use iRealSMS all the time on my 3G but it was quite buggy and froze a lot.
biteSMS is perfect in every way.

yes, those ads bug the hell out of me, and $8 isn't really much for how much I love this app
you have to add that source into cydia... i didn't know how to do it, lemme go find the post that helped me...
I think there's something that keeps the dang B lowercase even if the strings are changed. ): I'd have to change the letter altogether to get a change out of it. Maybe.

ahh OK i got it, But the host is unreachable in cydia got the red sign on it
i don't know... some people said the official update came out today so i don't know if you need to do all that anyway
are you just trying to change the label under the icon? i changed mine for kicks and it worked... maybe you have to change it to something else and then back to BiteSMS. I had changed my Messaging to BiteSMS and it worked capital B and all!! 😀
I can get the icon name changed but changing strings doesn't work for some reason.
EDIT: This is REALLY making me aggravated.

I still don't understand how this app is cheaper than the stock one? you pay $60 for 550 SMS credits, where with att you pay $20 for unlimited? if I misunderstood something can someone please explain?
This app isnt meant for you to buy texts, it uses the text package you already have. Buying texts from them and using their servers works well if you want to send texts internationally, as is explained by the makers themselves. In that case it is cheaper and more efficient. But for 99% of users, the app just uses your normal text package. The point is the features the app brings to that text package.
