This app isnt meant for you to buy texts, it uses the text package you already have. Buying texts from them and using their servers works well if you want to send texts internationally, as is explained by the makers themselves. In that case it is cheaper and more efficient. But for 99% of users, the app just uses your normal text package. The point is the features the app brings to that text package.
Oh ok, very well explained, now I know what is it for. thanks

I still don't understand how this app is cheaper than the stock one? you pay $60 for 550 SMS credits, where with att you pay $20 for unlimited? if I misunderstood something can someone please explain?

Well international text are like $0.15 each and they are not included on the plans, so if you have Friends or Family in other countries this way is cheaper, also with AT&T you pay $20 a month even if you send 1, 10 or 2000 texts (even $5 for the 200 text plan), at the end of the month they are gone.

With Bite you get your 500 credit and you can use them anytime you, want you can send 10 the first month, still have 490 left. Second month you can send 100, still have 390 left and so on. cheaper that way.

but the real value of the app is the additional features since most the user will text within their own country

QUICK QUESTION:

when replying from the lock screen, can I disable the "sending" bar from popping up, like in QuickReply?

Ok thanks for the info:D

once you pay, does that stupid banner on the bottom saying "bite sms, thanks for supporting us!" go away?

Yes - In the Settings (I think its under QR cause I cba to check), theres an option that says "close on send," which will close the SMS for you once you hit send.

Actually, that banner will go away if you just quit the app. Go to home screen, close the app using multitasking interface, then relaunch. Thats just there because you installed a trial license, which is the same as a full license, and gets rid of the ads. The banner thinks you paid already because a full license is active.

Another Issue I'm starting to notice. I love the balloon notification that tells me how many text messages i have.

It's even more powerful when you use it with lockinfo's infoshade and you disable popups.

The problem is i can't notifications to show up on the status bar anymore. WTF. is anybody else seeing this problem? How do I enable the balloon status notification?

Is there a way to disable the "call" button on the pop-ups? I know I'll accidentally hit it all the time and it will make me nuts.

Edit: nevermind.. just found it. :)

Setting within app. Then quick compose then configure buttons. Move down the list

Loving biteSMS but I can't get the quick "reply" button to show up when I get a text...it's just the normal apple screen with close and reply (which closes the app your in). I have it set to quick reply mode in my settings and everything. Any ideas/anyone else experiencing this?

EDIT: Nvm a reboot just helped this, sorry!

BiteSMS is fantastic. been using it for a few years now. those dudes update their app like every week with new features.

I love this app...It seriously baffles me why Apple wouldn't allow something like this in the AppStore, much less why they wouldn't implement these features themselves.

I agree been using bitesms for 24hrs and I dont even remember how the apple stock one is. I love it. I paid for it and I will always keep it, I use the auto text to send goodnight and good morning texts makes me look like a great guy ;)
