You picked it up, but can't use it till xmas...

Yeah, doing the shopping for my parents, as they're not to savvy on Apple stuff. I've been doing a lot of the shopping for myself this year... not too many surprises on Christmas morning, but at least I know it's something that I need. Plus, my parents don't mind me taking the guesswork and hassle out of shopping for stuff.

In regards to my earlier post about prices not showing up properly... remember, Apple monitors these forums and it wouldn't surprise me if they noticed my image and fixed something pronto.

...right

Well, I sweet-talked a 20-yr old female cashier into combining the educational discounts and this sale. I bought a: Apple Remote, Univeral Dock, and iM7.
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

What do people think of the might mouse for $38 - worth it at that price? Is it worth buying over a generic microsoft optical mouse?

$38 for the mighty mouse is the only appealing deal, would compliment the $379 referb mac mini I already got for my parents.. I just hear such not soo good reviews about it, like having to lift your finger for the right click..... opinions?

not sure it would be the best mouse for someone just starting with MAC

You get used to lifting your finger for the right click. I got used to it just by visiting the Apple Store. No way in hell I'm replacing my trackball though.

I'm using a Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse right now:

* It has a funny L-shaped hole underneath where the USB-based antenna stores when I'm travelling.

* It takes a single AA battery that lasts about six months.

* It has three buttons: left, right, and click the scroll wheel.

I have that mouse, it's pretty nice, but kinda jumpy. My mighty mouse that I got with this sale isn't really replacing it, I'll use the MS one for traveling.

You Casanova. I'll bet she slipped her number into your bag as well.

Thank You, racism is a big problem but people just go over board:mad:
if someone needs proof that black is gains and red is negative income, look at a business calculator (dual color). put in some numbers and press +..the numbers are black. type in more numbers and press -. those are red numbers.

when people yell "racism" too much it belittles the real racism that causes hundreds of deaths in our community.

Not too impressed with mighty mouse

Well, just got back from a quick run to the apple store to check out the mighty mouse.

Mighty mouse just felt pretty plasticy and light - sorta cheap feeling. Didn't like the way the buttons operated. Guess I'll continue looking for a good optical mouse.

When I used the Might Mouse at an Apple store, the trackball would sink down into the casing whenever I applied light pressure to scroll (which made operation more difficult).
Can anyone back this up? (or was that one broken?)

Damn...good price on the Airport Express...I bought one a few weeks ago at the same price. Other than that, not too impressed.

I picked up a refurbished Express on Monday for $80. Better than circling for parking and waiting in lines.. took me all of 15 minutes during my lunch break.

Honolulu Apple Store

I needed to buy a nice gift for someone who was arriving to Honolulu today and it happened to be black friday. I bought her a 30gb ipod video with an educational discount, which I think was ~$269. I walked across the street to sharper image and they still had an ipod photo and it looked like it was still bloated from thanksgiving dinner and should fit in a fat hand like mickey mouse. The new ipod is so much more slick, and the included leather sleeve is pretty plush. Now if I would only break down and get one for myself but I already have a nano and would feel like such a glutton owning more than one ipod at a time.

I ordered my 60 gig white ipod engraved (i forgot the place the apple care in the chart so i will get it after chunnuka harry drops by the house to give me my stuff) I also ordered the JBL onstage II with remote...

And i hate the walt witman store, the peopple their are idiots. It takes 4 peole to look in the back to see if they have any instock.

Well Thanksgiving is kinda a US thing... ;)

Well yes, but...

Christmas shopping season you find quite universally in all western markets (and in some others as well) so Apple just might be missing a huge opportunity here, not providing same kind of promotional day in the other markets.

the lines were long and the sale was lame, so i waited until i got home and ordered the 60gig black ipod with my education discount.

Store Mouse Broken

It was broken. The ball does not move down very far, and IMHO it keeps a good feel.

I was reading the comments about the mighty mouse and I thought I should add mine. I got one shortly after it came out, and I'm very very happy I did that (I replaced a microsoft optical mouse which replaced the original apple mouse). The mighty mouse feels much better in all respects, and I like the feeling of the scoll button particularly. It's definitely a good buy.

I wish I had known about this earlier. I missed my opportunity. Promissed the family I wouldn't spend all of my time online this holiday. Oh well -
