There is a line on the Mass. State Tax form where you are supposed to enter unpaid sales tax. I'd like to tell you I did it - but that would be slightly less than the truth. :eek:

But it IS tax evasion. The fact that in the history of internet sales, three people have actually filled in the line (they were awarded a Presidential Medal for Honesty) - the rest of us are tax evaders. Definitely illegal!:(

By choosing to not buy anything because of the economy, you're actually making things worse (not better).

People who are spending money this holiday season, especially with big ticket items, are actually contributing to economy and it's recovery.

Spending more> company profits> company hires more people> less people on unemployment
Spending less> company losses money> company shuts down> more people on unemployement

Bestbuy seems to have restocked on iPads. They all say add to cart once again and still onsale. Ship within 1 Business Day. :)
 
New 13" Pro

Hanging up the iMac and swapped for a new 13" Macbook Pro today along with a new 22" ViewSonic Monitor.
 
No Apple iOS Discounts

Sad to see that Apple missed the boat in NOT discounting iOS apps Pages, Keynote, Numbers & Garageband for Black Friday. If Pages had dropped to $4.99-$5.99 I might have snapped it up today, but alas, no. Why not? And why no discount for owners of the Mac iWork 09 version if we want the iOS version? Granted, I am new to the iPhone and all it entails, but I was really hoping to see some movement on the Apple iOS product line at least for today.

It said could not process order. Somi assumed it didn't go through
 
I actually bought an iPad 2 on the apple site today but i have yet to get a confirmation email. Is this normal based on the high volume they were dealing with or did it perhaps not go through?
 
My order somehow got cancelled I logged into the system and nothing was there:eek: i'll have to call them later:(

Same here! I placed an order last night at 9pm EST. I never got a confirmation email but my order showed up in my order history so I thought it was fine. This morning, there is no record of my order whatsoever!! Is calling Apple the only way to resolve this? Is there an email address I can use instead? I'm traveling so it isn't convenient for me to call.

I called in and the lady said that "because of the high volume of orders, it might take a while for the system to register the order". She asked for my order number and I'm like "I didn't copy it down, I thought it would get emailed to me".

So the only solution as of right now is to wait and keep refreshing. :mad:

That is a relief! Same thing happened with me. I was on the phone waiting for an Apple rep but ended the call as soon as I saw others here have the same problem.

Just checked again and all is well. My order is now being processed. I guess it was a momentary glitch. Also finally got an email confirmation.

Looks like the orders are going through as my order has appeared on my history page and I got a confirmation email.
