OK.
I see backlight bleed from the corners, and also light leaking from both right and left side bezels.
I think Apple service will not have an opinion, but will decide if your display issues are repairable under warranty.
My opinion is: Apple needs to look at your display issues. They will not make any decision about repairs without seeing your MBPro.
Either take into a "genius" at your local Apple store, or come up with some other problems that need attention -- and it sounds like you have those "other" problems. You said that you are preparing to send off your MBPro for other problems. Don't neglect including your display symptoms when you send it off. The display problems WON'T extend the length of time for the repair "trip", as they have to disassemble anyway to replace a keyboard, for example. They have to remove the display assembly as part of that job. Replacing that display won't affect total repair time at all (assuming that all parts are available in the repair center.
So, the repair center will either replace your display assembly (particularly if you make a point of mentioning that issue), or they will not (and you may expect notes about that when your MBPro is returned)
Please keep in mind that Apple may allow some small amount of "light leakage", so a replacement display might be perfect to your eye, or might also have some minor leakage - acceptable to Apple. There's no way to predict that outcome.
Maybe you will get one of the "no visible leakage" displays.
