As I've seen in many many threads in the past week, people referring to "summer" as a time for a new updated phone, are these folks referring to the WWDC event?
I'm somewhat new to the whole mac scene only jumping on board, as far as following, when the 1st gen iphone was announced.
When do they usually announce the WWDC date and time?
Do you think there will even be a WWDC this year, ya know, with Apple dipping outta MacWorld and all, who knows what'll happen next?
The reason behind Apple dropping out from Macworld is because it is simply too expensive to announce products with the Macworld schedule and plans. It is best for them to announce their products whenever they want to like the Let's Rock event and the Macbook events date were all chosen and hosted by Apple instead of the IDG group which hosts Macworld. Given the economic situation, they would prefer to choose their own time to release products and wisely spend their money on announcements. WWDC I think is an Apple hosted event.
