Gurman is wrong. The M1 iMacs are only getting new vintage color options to match their, now vintage, processor technology. /s
I'd argue that the AX chips (which became the M series) has long been on an 18 month cycle, which effectively skips every 3rd A series architecture. M1 products announced in October 2020, M2 in June 2022, M3 in late 2023/early 2024? Given the A17 is out, I'd say the only thing stopping M3 being released in the next few weeks is if they're struggling with yields and want to build up supply for a Spring 2024 release. Just my 2 centsHonestly, I am not expecting M3 chips earlier than WWDC 2024. Based only on previous M1 and M2 announcements. Both of them were introduced at WWDC
A special edition M3 iMac in spooooooky pumpkin orange and ghoooooulish spectral green.Macoween?
A mini-LED, 120hz iMac Pro with M2 Max/Ultra is long overdue - I think we've been waiting on ThunderBolt5 for this, I know it was officially introduced a few months ago so I'm sure we're getting closer to this realityWhat' the point in being able to create 24MP HDR stills and 4K HDR video content on one's iDevice if one cannot then further "develop" that content or just set back and enjoy it's output in its full resolution and brightness and dynamic range in which it was created?!
There is a vital tool missing in the chain, full-resolution HDR displays for the "rest of us".
The DNA of both Steve and Tim's Apple (by their own words and actions) is about what one sees, what one hears, what one can create and I full well expect HDR iMacs and HDR Studio displays are in the pipeline to fill out their product line.

All we can do is go on "past performance" - and with both the M1 and M2 the "Pro/Max" versions used in the 14/16" MBP have lagged the basic M1/M2 by 6-10 months. We haven't seen the basic M3 yet. Even if the current MBPs were supposed to have launched last October, that would have been 4 months after the M2 MacBook Air launched. If this is true then i wouldn’t be surprised if they release the new 14” and 16” MacBook Pro.
I doubt that the Mini would be that close to the front of the queue for new tech. I suspect the original M1 Mini got an early release because it was needed as a replacement for the Apple Silicon Developer's Transition Kit (which became useless as soon as the M1 launched).I don’t think they will announce the new M3 Mac mini on this event, but man if they did, I would probably pull the trigger and get one with at least 24GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD.
All those Electron apps are killing your Mac. You can at least get the WhatsApp Catalyst app from https://www.whatsapp.com/download that will use 1/5 of the ram the Electron version is using.Whatever happens I hope they raise the base level of ram! I have a base spec air for work which is just basic office stuff and it always goes yellow with basic operations.. and while I’m feeling hopeful I’d like to wish for cheaper SSD upgrades 😂

For the entire range(s) of M1 and M2 Macs, Apple has consistently led with the lowest end Macs, with the lowest end "plain" M chips of each respective generation, and ended with the highest end, most powerful Macs with the most powerful chips of each respective generation.
So while anything is possible, it would be surprising for the M3 Pro/Max MBPs to appear before a regular M3 MacBook Air.
