Replacement cushions, good. Replacement battery?

Not too many wireless headphones have this, let alone Apple.

Would be cool if they used the iPad Pro's "Studio quality mics" for calls. (but also had PC compatibility) Have been looking for a wireless gamer headset that doesn't suck.

In order for the mics to not suck, they need to get off Bluetooth. It’s why some wireless gaming headsets include their own dongle module.

Even with Bluetooth 5? Why isn't there a good microphone protocol :/

Short answer is Bluetooth is not full duplex and wasn’t designed to be that way. I would imagine to achieve good mic, you would need another Bluetooth module in your computer

Read this as it explains the limitations of Bluetooth:https://audeze.zendesk.com/hc/en-us...h-quality-for-gaming-video-and-microphone-use
That article links to a source written in 2018 which says “Bluetooth 5.0, which has already been announced, offers much higher bandwidth. This should let future Bluetooth headsets play back audio at high quality while the microphone is being used, in theory.”
I don’t know if it does make a difference, but hopefully Bluetooth 5 is more capable.

I’m quite happy with my Bose QC35s. I hate the trend of touch & voice controls on headphones. The amount of people I see faffing with touch controls to pause music in the office is ridiculous! Hardware buttons are far better when you can see where you’re touching and voice control for headphones just makes you look like a dick.

And if there is no wired connection that rules out any kind of music recording or production.

My Sony WH’s pause music by simply holding your hand over the right ear up. Nothing complicated about it. And to your point, IMO everyone that walks around with white earbuds looks like dicks.. per your parlance.

Honestly if these sound as incredible as I would like the to sound they could charge more and Id be happy if it was worth it. Airpods Pro are awesome and they are not the pinnacle of sound quality in terms of the entire spectrum of what's available in all kinds of headphones. If Apple really comes through on drivers and comfort, and like others have said, figured out how to make the signal robust, these could be huge.

would have to support multiconnect , I love my Bose NC 700 where I dont have to switch the connections

Nice....the next boom...modular wireless headphones ..everyone will jump on these...i bet apple will sell a lot of these...and also a lot of modular parts for these

but why?
are Beats not covering the whole spectrum with their 5,000 different variations?
idk why anyone would buy these, unless you want to spend even more money with apple buying different coloured headbands and ear cushions when they inevitably release all the customisation options

I hope they understand that the high-end market often uses high-end playing devices ( and headphone amplifiers, etc) for listening to non-compressed music, and therefore a wired connection is required in addition to wireless.
Unless « high-end » simply means the same people that enjoy iPhone earbuds but need to buy everything Apple.

They do, and they don't care because the high-end market isn't what they are going after. It's the millions of people that use headphones with Apple Music or Spotify on their phones.

High end consumer as Apple is high end consumer. Not professional market or audiophile market.

Head band and long hair, spiked with Hair Gel does not work, hence I stick to AirPods. Hopefully there is a back of the neck solution too.

So I have a pair of Bowers & Wilkins PX noise cancelling headphones that sound utterly fantastic. Despite the lack of the W1 chip I prefer them to listen to music; however the ease of my aipods for connectivity makes them my go-to for nearly everything except extended music listening.

I'd be interested in these, but I fear what the price point could be...

I recently purchased Sonys 1000XM3 (Amazing), But knowingly realized Apple is slated to release their version of ‘over the ear’ headphones this year. But, I’m impatient and we all know, that Apple may be behind on releasing these on time given the global pandemic. But there’s no doubt, These will definitely pinpoint a certain segment who really do want some of the highest quality sound possible. [The removable ‘magnetic’ attachments sounds very Apple-ish.’]

There is no "behind" or "releasing these on time" since Apple has not announced anything.

Ear pads of my Studio3 Wireless are completely worned out after one year and half of indoor use.
My Solo 3 wireless were already replaced under warranty after less than two years of life.
I’m definitely not impressed with Beats / Apple products so far...

Can’t you just replace the earpads? I would never buy headphones over $100 if the earpads and cables are non replaceable.

Wait a sec..Magnets. What if you place then down on your desk,,, i could stat picking up paperclips. Probably not a good idea.

I do like the convenience, but i wonder how much the replacements will be.

Do you really think Apple would release a pair of headphones that attract paperclips when placed on a desk? Does your iPad attract paperclips?

Yes they can be replaced.

Because a lot of people are concerned about the music audio quality while they are yapping away over the music.
