13 is a bad luck number…

And still that same 12 MP sensor. Even Google is boosting their camera and all apple does is add a fancy marketing term to their videos..
It did take them quite a few Pixel lines before leaving the tried and tested 12 MP. But yeah. Would be nice to see it upgraded by now.

Apple needs to reintroduce some form of Touch ID while we're still dealing with masks. I personally would welcome the power button option that was introduced in the iPad. When did the iPad become the techier device over the flagship iPhone??

I’ve been waiting a long time for portrait video. Samsung has had it but it didn’t work that well. Apple tends to wait until they have a feature mostly right to release. My Sony cameras may get less use.

From a business standpoint, this could harm potential Apple Watch sales since they introduced the new option to unlock iPhone with Apple Watch.

That's why I'm super excited about this. It was fun on Samsung but kind of glitchy and inconsistent, so if this has the Apple polish, I'll be using it a lot!

nice joke....it will be nice but...maybe when the iphone will start by default with 512 ssd and up to 8T
ProRes RAW actually requires less space to be stored than regular ProRes. Although I guess Apple is not allowed to have it as an option because RED owns the patents regarding the on-camera RAW video storage.
If it does ProRes 4:4:4:4, they could use the depth channel for alpha which would be amazing for keying!
OMG yes! A compositor's wet dream.

first of all it's not a substitute for touch id — not everyone wants an apple watch, and not every one who owns one wears it all the time. secondly — do you really think a large number of people bought the aw because of the unlocking feature in 14.5?

Maybe I am in the minority, but I would like to see an always on display. If nothing else, it would be nice to glance at my phone to see the time.
i would too. besides — it's obviously something that can be turned off. i turn it off on my watch when i need to — it's a great option to have.

It’s also only for unlocking the phone, not other biometric authentication in general

I’m not going to upgrade from my current 12 Pro Max, but I have to say that Apple can’t improve the cameras soon enough. I take quite a few close up shots of products for work and I just can’t use the iPhone any longer. The new M1 iPad Pro is WAY better for these shots, although it’s not exactly an easy thing to use. I know this isn’t exactly an everyday use case for most people, but if all Apple does is use the improved camera from the iPad Pro in the next iPhone, it will be a nice upgrade.
