This could be something, however it is still not knwn as the cause as to why Bose products were pulled in the first place.

Well...

Over-hyped and over-priced, for sure. But Bose does seem to have the strong point of making small speakers that fill a room with sound that it's hard to believe comes from that size of enclosure. I know several people who were amazed with how well the original WaveRadio could fill an office with sound, not to mention the popularity of the old Bose cube type speakers. (You'd often see those used in outdoor courtyards or bar patios where they gave pretty good sound, inconspicuously.)

Beats seems to primarily exist thanks to trendiness. "Ooh... it's Dr. Dre's brand!" Their headphones are very recognizable in those annoying bright colors too. As headphones go though -- there's just nothing remarkable about them. I'd put a pair of $75-85 Sennheisers up against any of them.

Bose and Beats, both as bad as each other. Terrible products that are over-hyped and over-priced.

I think the move was to show that Apple could remove Bose if it wanted (or needed) to do so. I expect the issues with the NFL will be less of an issue with this development

What Apple Store has room for all that? Especially with Watch (and possibly a larger iPad) coming in the spring? It's Best Buy that's a joke basically carrying Beats cans, skull candy, Sony and not much else. They have the room to carry more high-quality headphones.

To be fair, the Best Buy stores with Magnolia Home Theater sections carry some Sennheiser, B&W, Pioneer and a few other higher priced headphones.

I think you are missing the point with the Beats brand. They aren't super focused on the best sounding headphones/speakers, they focus on stylish designs. The headphones and speakers are basically fashion accessories now. You could put any speaker in the Apple store you want but most folks will walk out with Beats regardless of sound quality.

This is truly a case where the best quality product isn't always the winner sales wise.

Bose is pro-Apple. I was always surprised it was pulled.

The headphone jacks that come with their headphones support all the iPod features like play, pause, next song, repeat, volume up, volume down, etc. They don't work with all the Android features, just iDevice features.

Maybe Apple realized their pro-iDevice stance, and went back to them.

I have that Bose Mini Soundlink pictured and its sound is AWESOME. Compared to the similarly priced Beats Pill ($199), it blows it out of the water. I was hoping Apple's acquisition would improve the quality of Beats products and sound and have yet to see it.

It is interesting.... Apple also doesn't sell HP Steam tablets and Dell laptops in the store... I love Bose but it is technically competition now even if it is an add-on for existing Apple products.

Wrong. Contrary to what MR keeps repeating:mad:, Bose didn't ban Beats. Bose didn't ban anyone. NFL policy bans product visuals that compete with officially sponsored products. I wish MR would stop perpetuating this fallacy.

Bose products are most likely back in Apple stores because the Bose v. Beats lawsuit was settled. Pretty simple. Apple wouldn't sell products from a company that was suing them. Suits over, back to business.

Really? Carry quality stuff instead of over-hyper trash?
When I see beats on Craigslist or being sold out of the back of a car, I seriously think to myself - lucky bugger - he's getting a counterfeit which will probably sound better than the licensed item! Same with Bose, except for the noise canceling tech which they seem to have some home done right in spite of themselves....

If you're going to take the cynical viewpoint you may as well apply it to Apple as well. Just getting by in terms of performance but making life easier for the end user. That's Apple, no? They're more alike than they are different.

Okay, not long ago when Apple kicked them out, we all hated Bose, now that they're back, we all love Bose again, give me a break.

My Best Buy mustn't have that then because I had to go across the street to Office Depot to get a decent pair of in-ear headphones.

It's the Apple Store not Best Buy.

Exactly. And it's not like most Apple stores are big with lots of room. There will be even less room when Watch comes out next year.

Bose needs Apple here. I would guess a huge chunk of their products was being sold through the Apple Store and along with Best Buy.

I'm sure Apple is getting a nice piece of the pie. Everyone is a winner in this deal but it goes without saying.....Apple is the Evil Empire. For sure.

There are not that many Apple stores to be honest. The chunk being sold in Apple stores would have been minimum, and that is based on how rare apple stores are outside of the US.

Bose does not need Apple stores. I would argue that Apple needs Bose to have some perceived quality Audio for thier range. Removing Bose and having Beats as a replacement would not have gone down well with the "older" customers with money to burn.

Was a tandrum move by Apple by the looks of it. And now they have calmed down and everything is back to normal.

And someone, once said "think different"....... times have changed, we must obey!

They must've realized how terrible Beats were and just had to put something back that was mediocre.

In Bose's defense, no headphones come close to Bose when it comes to noise cancellation. But for casual listening, they suck.

Noise cancellation is awesome but I don't like the idea of the batteries.

The WaveRadio and Acoustimass are at the forefront of why Bose is such poor quality. They fill a room by having peaky frequency response, which is very limited in range, and then having terrible group delays and phase response which give you that 'filling' sound, but not very high quality.

Only part of Bose that are semi-decent is their noise cancelling headphones and 100V/70V install loudspeakers.

That never happened. Way to keep believing in whatever you believe in.

In fact, during this dispute I bought a pair of the QC25 noise canceling Bose headphones. I own Apple products. Does that blow your mind?
